This time just last week my little family of 4 was on an airplane just getting ready to arrive in Orlando, Florida. I shared a few days before we left the exciting news that we were invited to the Nick Hotel to participate in the Julius Jr weekend – a part of Nickelodeon Suites Resort Preschool Celebration.
And a true weekend away from regular day to day life. A weekend that was all about the girls from the moment we stepped foot onto the Nickelodeon Hotel property. They were immediately immersed into scenes of some of their favorite Nick Jr shows and were anxiously awaiting the Julius Jr. weekend!
I shared quite a bit of our weekend on Facebook, Twitter, and my instagram – including what the girls were greeted with as soon as we walked into our suite.
In fact, I was a little worried that we were never going to be able to get them out of our room to enjoy the rest of the hotel!
They had a blast playing with all of the Julius Jr. toys [which can be found at Walmart and on Amazon!] and have continued playing with them all this week at home too. Of course, we did finally get them to leave the room – with a Julius Jr. or Sheree in hand at all times – and joined lots of other kiddos at the Julius Jr. Event. There were promises of Snacks, Giveaways, an Episode Screening, and a Meet and Greet with Julius Jr. himself… they knew exactly what kiddos want!
We got to watch 2 of the newest Julius Jr. episodes “Plane Dilemma” and “Delayed Parade”. There was hardly a peep out of all the kids in the room while the episodes were playing, which is exactly what it’s like when my girls watch too. The bright colors, fun storylines, catchy tunes, and recognizable characters seem to grab everyone’s attention.
All the kiddos who attended were greeted with Julius Jr. sunglasses, a healthy snack, and a chance to win an amazing gift basket of Julius Jr. toys like we had in our room. But the real treat was seeing Julius Jr. in person, especially for the preschool age children. Both of my girls’ eyes just lit up when they saw him – a character that they’d been watching on television!
Not at all surprising was Moreaya’s hesitancy to look at, talk to, or give a high five to Julius Jr. She’s quite shy, but it turns out that Julius was too!
Even though she didn’t get too close – she’s been talking about it for an entire week now!
We enjoyed our weekend at the Nick Hotel tremendously. There are a ton of hotel options when you’re visiting Orlando and I would rank Nick Hotel right there as one of the top. We stayed on resort the entire weekend, never feeling the need to leave as we were able to experience 2 Water Parks, a 4-D Movie Theater, Mini Golf, and much much more right on site! There was also Nickelodeon and Nick Jr Characters and restaurants in the Mall at the resort too.
We simply couldn’t have had a better time – well, you know, unless we stayed longer!
The girls already loved Julius Jr. before our trip, but now the show is totally different for them. It’s all they’ve been wanting to watch and now that Julius Jr. is on Netflix, that’s pretty much what they have been watching since we’ve been back!
