Thank you to Brylane Home for sending a Family Swing to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed are my own.
We spend a lot of time outdoors… a lot. That’s why I love living where we live because we have a large backyard for the girls to roam and roam they do! Luckily they’re getting to the age where they can roam without me being right on top of them so I’ve been looking for ways to lounge a little lazily, but still be able to keep them in full sight. Sure – lounging in my Zero Gravity Chair is where you’ll usually find me, but sometimes a girl just wants to swing!
Boy, did I get my wish with our new Brylane Home Extra Wide Textured Vinyl 3-Seat Swing! It arrived at our house just a little over a week ago and I begged Rob to help me put it together this past weekend. Once we saw the box I was glad that I had begged him because I wasn’t going to be able to put it together myself. I guess I wasn’t prepared for how big it is – I mean, yeah, 3-seat swing, but this swing is roomy – which I LOVE!
It took us about 30 minutes to put it together and we were swinging as soon as we did! I love that the attached canopy can be moved down to help shield the sun no matter the direction.
We sat it on the edge of our back deck so I can easily swing leisurely while I watch the girls play in the yard. The seat measures in at 52″ wide and the steel tube frame will hold up to 450 pounds, which means all 4 of us can safely swing together!
Perhaps my favorite feature of the swing is the lack of something… padding. You might think it the swing loses comfort because you don’t use a cushioned pad, but it doesn’t at all. The seats and back are made of a weather-proof PVC-coated mesh fabric that dries quickly and allows air to circulate—keeping you cool. This is so important to use because our deck isn’t covered so knowing that our swing doesn’t have cushions that are going to hold water when it rains or fade and weather fast is a big plus!
