Step2 Up & Down Roller Coaster Ride On Toy - Best of the Step2 Outside Toys

If you’re kids love to play outside, chances are you have some Step2 outside toys. This one happens to be our children’s favorite – check out the Step2 Up & Down Roller Coaster Ride On toy and how much fun it is!

I was really looking forward to the opportunity to review, at no cost to me, the Step2 Up & Down Roller Coaster Ride On, in the special anniversary colors. We already have a few Step2 outdoor toys that my boys really enjoy, and this brand of toys holds up so well. I just knew this Step2 Up and Down coaster would be of the same quality, and it definitely did not disappoint!

First off, this is the easiest toy assembly in all the land! I have never gotten a large toy for my boys with a simpler assembly. It literally took 3 minutes from the time I opened the box, until we were zooming down the track.

The Up and Down Roller Coaster is actually a great toy for indoors or outdoors. We chose to put it outside so we would have more room, but if you have a large space, you could definitely put it inside during cooler months too. My boys absolutely love it, especially my 4 year old! He has asked to go out and play with it a gazillion times this week. It’s also been great encouragement to get him to listen and do what he’s told without any tantrums, which is definitely a win/win for this Mama!

The bright colors of the track make this roller coaster fun and enticing. I really love the coaster car. It’s well made and very light weight, making it easy for my 4 year old to carry it back up the yard and put it back on the track all by himself. This builds his confidence, and gives mom and dad a nice break too. My 2 year old also likes to just sit and push himself on the coaster car, off the track. I like that it rolls on any surface, not just on the track, and can be used as a fun car.

Other specs on the Step2 Up and Down coaster that show the designers really paid attention to detail and safety:

Coaster ramp features molded-in, recessed wheel wells to keep the coaster car steady until toddlers are ready for another ride.
ATV-style coaster car features a high back, handrail and foot rests for a secure ride.
Dual non-slip steps lock securely into 3-piece track for easy access to the coaster car.

I am so pleased with this toy. Not only is it tons of fun, but it promotes great exercise for my boys. It helps them develop motor skills, balance, and strength. It’s recommended for children ages 2-5, and up to 50 pounds. They’re great roller coaster toys for toddlers because of their size. It’s not quite as high as the other roller coaster ride-on toys from Step2, like this kids roller coaster, making it perfect for smaller riders.

If you’ve got toddlers or preschoolers, and are looking for a new and exciting toy for them, I would highly recommend this Step2 roller coaster.
