Sofia the First Slumber Party [+ Princess Scones Recipe]

Sofia the First Slumber Party JuniorCelebrates

My girls are just totally obsessed with Princesses.  I thought it might last a few months, but we’re going on a full 2 years of Princess fascination and I see no end in sight – which makes me happy because it’s a totally fun theme that I can incorporate into our every day life!

For instance, Moreaya asks me every single day to wear her Sofia the First Princess Dress.  No kidding – every day I have to change her back into regular clothes to pick up Sophia from school because she’s played “Princess” all morning long.

We picked out a reversible Sofia the First Comforter and some fun toys to set the mood for a mid-day Slumber Party for the girls!

They absolutely love anything that we make “special” so I thought a fun Sofia the First Slumber Party for the two of them would be the perfect break from a regular day of school – lunch – nap routine!

Moreaya picked helped me pick out some super fun toys – including a talking Amulet that she’ll be sporting when Halloween comes in about a month – can you guess who she’ll be dressing up as this year?!  We also included a couple of fun items from the Party Favor aisles to compliment our Slumber Party.

While I got to work on the Slumber Party Treats, the girls relaxed and watched their favorite Sofia episode “The Enchanted Feast”.

Sofia Slumber Party

I had a couple of ideas for Princess Slumber Party goodies and one was totally inspired by Sophia’s Princess Tea Party, which was the theme of her 3rd birthday.  What princess doesn’t love scones?!

Princess Scones

Well, mine probably wouldn’t like the original version, but these delicious peanut butter and jelly crescent rolls make the perfect Princess Scones!  They’re so easy to make and absolutely delicious – Sophia immediately requested that we have them again another day!

Next up on the Sofia the First Slumber Party Menu was… popcorn!  Because, really – what is a slumber party without popcorn!?!

Princess Popcorn

I put a fun twist on the popcorn by melting down a few pink and purply candy melts and mixing them in with Princess sprinkles to make it a totally fun, salty and sweet movie treat!

It’s not a rule that you have to fill your house with half a dozen wild little girls to have a Sofia the First Slumber Party [although that will be quite fun in a couple of years for my girls]!

Sophia and Moreaya had an absolute blast with their own 2, well technically 3, Princess Sofia the First Slumber Party!

What would be on your Must-Have [or Must-Eat] List for a Sofia the First Slumber Party?

Awww, I”m chuckling and smiling – all so adorable!! I like those Princess Scones and the special popcorn. I have recipes for pink popcorn that uses red jello, just for little girls. Cute pictures! My little sister was into everything ‘princess’ and I remember she’d have to wear her glass slippers to the store when she was a teeny weeny!!!

Oh my goodness, this post is full of great ideas! I don’t have a little princess, but I do have a little price and this just gave me so many ideas! I bet I can work these into a pirate theme – he LOVES Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Thanks!!
