3 Reasons You Should Give the Gift of Travel

When it comes to gift giving for your spouse or other close family members are you always at a loss of what to give? Here’s 3 reasons why I think you should give the gift of travel!

Sometimes I feel like the people that I’m closest to are the ones that are so hard to buy gifts for. Whether it’s a holiday gift, birthday, or a just because gift – I know what my husband likes, but sometimes it seems like he always buys himself the things that he wants. That’s when I decided to think outside of the box, the gift box that is, when it comes to giving him gifts and thought of the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list [that in my case is my husband]… travel!

Some of my favorite memories that we’ve created with our family happen during vacations or traveling.

So it only makes sense that one the best reasons to gift travel to a loved one is to create even more special memories with them!

The first time I gifted my husband a trip and itinerary it totally caught him off guard! It was such a fun and unexpected gift idea and that made it even more special.

Experience different cultures and scenery together

Finding new and exciting places to travel together not only enriches your own life, but your lives together as a couple and family. Sharing those experiences creates a lasting bond that you’ll remember a lifetime.

So, where should you travel? The sky is obviously the limit as you can gift day trips, overnight excursions, even out-of-the-country itineraries. But some of our favorite destinations are just a mere car ride away including one that is on our To-See List… the City with Soul… Jackson, Mississippi!

It’s an up-and-coming city that everyone should have the chance of exploring. I’ve heard whether you’re a foodie, a music lover, an art and culture aficionado, an history buff, or just someone who likes to explore new places, Jackson is one of the best places to travel!

One of my favorite parts of traveling is definitely checking out the food in the area. According to this super fun and informative docu-series, Jackson has LOTS to offer in terms of dining. And I’m totally jealous of the amazing Farm to Table offerings with their local produce! When we visit, I definitely have to seek out the Farmer’s Market.

Those of us in the South take our history serious and are very proud and I love the history that Jackson seems to have. The amount of culture, history, and entertainment is really amazing too!

If you’re ready to gift travel to your loved ones, you should definitely add the destination of Jackson, Mississippi to your Travel Bucketlist.
