Today I’m sharing with you some tips to jump start your health and beauty from the inside out, as well as the recipe for my DIY Coconut Oil Body Scrub!

Jumpstart Your Health

The Spring time is a great time to re-evaluate how you treat your body.  The days get warmer and longer, which encourages more exercise and time outdoors.  The idea of wearing a bathing suit in the coming months usually changes our minds about the foods we’re eating too!

Beauty from the inside out

Spring is also a great time to rejuvenative your body and beauty. What you put on your body is sometimes just as important as what you put inside of it. That’s why I use only the best products for this DIY Coconut Oil Body Scrub.

I couldn’t wait to combine all these ingredients for a luxurious coconut oil body scrub. The idea of making sugar body scrubs is pretty simple and you can use any type of essential oil that you would like. If you’re wanting a scrub that induces sleep, use lavender. Want an energizing body scrub? Choose a Citrus or Tea Tree essential oil.

Make Your Own ScrubThis Coconut Oil Sugar Scrub totally invigorates me when I use it in the shower and Tea Tree Oil scent uplifts my mood and helps refresh my skin.  The Raw Sugar is gentle on my skin, when mixed with the Coconut Oil and feels amazing! My skin has really never been so soft and thank goodness because the winter wreaked havoc on it this year!

I used 2 parts Turbinado Raw Sugar with 1 part Virgin Coconut Oil.  It mixed much easier than I thought it might – because of the low melting temperature of the coconut oil, it went together nicely.  I added a few drops of Tea Tree Oil, but you could use any essential oil depending on your mood!
