#May Buffet Sponsor Spotlight: Bugbaby Designs

Tomorrow is going to be a fun day!  In addition to the Mother’s Day Cloth Diaper Hop, I’m also participating in the May Buffet giveaway event!  This fun hop will feature over 130 blogs who all have prize packages themed with Food – whether food itself, cooking utensils, etc!

I’ve got a fun prize package that will help keep your Baby/Toddlers FULL and GREEN here at So Easy Being Green!  I’ll be featuring the Sponsors over the next couple of days and today’s is one of my favorites things to have in our diaper bag… actually, you’re bound to find one every time we go out an about, tucked inside.

I first worked with Jen a long time ago, well over a year ago – which IS a long time in the blogging world!  Jen is the lovely, creative lady behind Bugbaby Designs.  In addition to custom moses baskets, Jen makes the cutest sandwich bags ever!  I’ve tried a few different brands of re-usable sandwich and snack bags, but these are always the ones we use and love… let me show you why!

This time around, Jen sent me a couple of her snack bags to review.  I requested 2 snack bags because we use our snack bag much more often than the sandwich one.  I love to fill them with pretzels, organic cookies, raisins, goldfish… and sometimes even yummy fruits like grapes and strawberries!

It might surprise you a bit that  our bags have lasted over a year, or even that I can put fresh fruit in them, but the inside of the re-usable bags from Bugbaby Designs are lined with PUL… making them waterproof and very easy to wipe off and clean!  You can wash them in your washing machine, but unless they’re super messy, you won’t have to, I’m sure!

Just recently, Jen began offering the option of putting an organic cotton inside the bag, instead of the PUL, for those people who like more organic products.  The bag on the right, honeycomb-like pattern, has the organic cotton lining.  I’ll admit, I really, really like the idea of using more natural products, but the organic cotton lining doesn’t wipe off so easily and is also not waterproof – so I wouldn’t put fresh fruit or anything.  I have had to wash this bag a couple of times because it won’t wipe off as easily as the PUL, but it still works great.  I think it’s fabulous that you have the option in these bags!

I love the fact that they have a velcro closure, which makes it super easy for Sophia to open/close the bags and the fact that they fold over and velcro keeps spills from happening inside the diaper bag.  These bags measure 6.5″ x 3.5″ and believe me, you can really stuff the snacks in!  And the prints… she has a ton of cute prints available to choose from!

Buy It:  You can purchase re-usable Bugbaby Designs bags from her Etsy Shop.  The sandwich bags are $8.00 and the snack bags are $4.00.  Imagine the savings from not having to buy anymore plastic baggies!!!!

Win It:  Bugbaby Designs is offering one lucky So Easy Being Green reader a chance to win a Sandwich/Snack Bag Set in the May Buffet Giveaway – which begins on May 1st!
