If your kids love pretend play, they’re going to love Lottie Dolls. A line of pretend play dolls that are the perfect size for little hands and inspire leadership, invention, adventure, and creativity! Check out this Lottie Dolls review to learn more.
When Lottie Dolls recently contacted the girls and I about experiencing their dolls and products recently, I was honestly intrigued. I actually hadn’t heard of Lottie Dolls until that email came and quickly went to Google to look up Lottie Dolls reviews. I quickly learned that these dolls weren’t just any dolls, they were characters that inspired adventure and creativity so I immediately said yes.
The girls were each able to pick out which doll they wanted. I wasn’t surprised at all by their choices. My adventure, dinosaur loving Sophia quickly chose Lottie Doll Fossil Hunter and Moreaya, my creative soul, chose Always Artsy Lottie Doll.
How Big Are Lottie Dolls?
After perusing the website, this was my first question. I wanted to know how big Lottie Dolls were to prepare space in their playroom. Once they came, I have to tell you that they are the girls’ favorite size dolls now. Barbie dolls are a little large for pretend play at their ages of 7 and 9, and some of their other favorite dolls are a little small.
Lottie Dolls are really the perfect size for big adventures. They travel well, as they both brought their dolls to the beach with us this past week, and I can see them going on lots of camping trips with us as well!
There are currently 22 Lottie Dolls to choose from, including boy dolls, each with a different theme. I love that the dolls come with adorable accessories including an outfit and other small items to compliment the theme.
History of Lottie Dolls
Lottie Dolls were first launched in August of 2012 and these small dolls are making quite a “big name” for themselves in just 7 short years. With STEM inspired dolls, books, and even nominations for Toy of the Year Awards, Lottie Dolls are still expanding. Just a couple of years ago they launched some great furniture to go alongside the dolls.
This Lottie Dolls Treehouse is the perfect adventure setting for all of the Lottie Dolls and my girls. With a slide, swing, secret trap door, and rope ladder… there’s lots of play to be had.
There was also a lot of learning to be had too, as I had the girls’ help me put the treehouse together. It’s made of real wood, but is light enough to move around easily. The instructions were clear with assembly and it was a great activity for them to do with their dolls!
The girls were concerned with how they would play with their dolls and the treehouse since it had a beautifully painted and scalloped roof, but Lottie thought of that and created a Treehouse playset with a side that folds down and up with magnets!
There are currently two playsets for Lottie Dolls – this Lottie Treehouse and a Wooden Stable, perfect for those of you who have little ones who love horses!
My girls are definitely fans of dolls and pretend play and prefer that type of play to any other right now. Their Lottie Dolls have inspired lots of creative adventures and I think, will continue to do so for years to come!
