So far I’ve shared with you two different types of Trainers… the Flip Training system which is more of a waterproof system that is great for under clothes.
The EcoPosh Trainer which is, in my opinion, a great naptime option {but may have to either have more stuffing – hemp insert OR a wool cover over it for heavy wetters}. Today I’m sharing with you what is my favorite nighttime option!
Jessica sent us a Charlie Banana Organic Cottons Training Pants to review during the Let’s Go Potty Event. Charlie Banana actually boasts that their Swim Diapers can double as a Training Pant, but I chose to go with the organic option to see if I could find a great overnight trainer for Sophia… and I did!
First, this trainer is considered a one-size. I’m not really sure how well it would work out for a larger child. Sophia is 21 months and around 24-25 lbs, so she’s still pretty small and the Trainer, as you can see from the pictures, fits her really well.
I did have to prep this trainer a few times, but since it was a trainer, I didn’t worry as much. I washed and dried it about 3 times and figured that I would just use it and it would get more absorbent as we used it more.
The first time Sophia wore the Charlie Banana trainer was at nap time. When she woke up, I felt the outside of the trainer and it was totally dry! I was excited because I thought that meant she hadn’t peed during her nap.
When we went to potty, however, I realized the inside was wet. But the outside was totally bone dry. I love our EcoPosh trainer, but that just isn’t the case when it gets wet.
So I am able to use this Trainer at night without real worry that Sophia will wake up with soaked sheets!
Final Thoughts: Charlie Banana is right. This Trainer looks like underwear, not a diaper at all.
It’s my favorite for Nighttime and Nap Time, but it works so well at night that I save it for that time. I would have no worries about her wearing it under clothes either, since it stays dry on the outside.
However, it’s a bit more “fluffy” than the other trainers I’ve shared with you… but not as fluffy as diapers, so it’s possible!
But beware of the size… if you have a larger child who is potty training, this may not be the best option for you.
Buy It: You can purchase a Charlie Banana Organic Cotton Trainer from Belly Buttons and Bubbles Baby Boutique for only $15.99.
