Perhaps it’s the blogger in me, or perhaps it’s just the forgetful Mom in me, but I never print photographs. I used to when Sophia was little, but once Moreaya was born, it seems like printing photos was a thing of the past.
It’s a shame too, because the girls love to look back at old pictures of themselves when they were babies.

Oh my heart!
Sure we have a few baby books that they look at, but they really love watching old videos. And we do have them, but they’re stored somewhere on some old CD’s or an old hard drive, well, I don’t know exactly where they are, but my husband says we have them.
But wouldn’t it be great if there was something or somewhere to store pictures in an organized fashion that was easy to access, search, and even share?!

Turns out, there is! Meet ibi. I don’t even know where to begin with how excited I am to have our own ibi! One reason is because for the past few weeks, I keep getting this notification on my phone…

While my phone is fairly new and I didn’t buy the biggest in storage, I didn’t think I had that many pictures on it. I guess I do, but it’s so hard for me to delete photos because I’m not sure if I have them backed up or thinking I might regret not keeping them. But thanks to ibi, that’s not a concern anymore!
ibi will save photos.
Setting up ibi was super simple. You simply plug it in and download the ibi app. The app guides you through installation, which is as simple as registering the device with your email address and a password and connecting it with your home’s wireless network.
We decided to keep our ibi upstairs so it will be closer to the wireless router for better connectivity.

Once I synced my phone with ibi, all the photos and videos on my phone started to back up on ibi. You can also sync your social media accounts for storage too.
This is absolutely my favorite feature of ibi because I always worry about accidentally deleting photos or something happening to my phone and losing all my photos permanently, especially ones from family vacations and special events!
As soon as I take a photo with my phone, if I’m in my house, I can see it almost immediately on the ibi app. It’s a no-worry back up system for saving my photos that I adore!
I have mine set to back-up automatically, but only when I’m on my home’s wifi to save cellular data, but I can access ibi away from home too!

ibi will organize your photos.
There are a few options for organizing your photos that you can access through the ibi app. You can manually sort and organize your photos into albums that you name. I have made albums of vacations, birthday parties, special events, etc.

You can also see your photos and videos organized by the month and year. This is done automatically by ibi, which I find amazing! If I know I want to see my Sophia’s birthday pictures, then I know they’ll be under the month of May, so using this system is also very helpful and easy.
The girls LOVE this because they can easily look through and search photos and videos of themselves at any age.

Lastly you can search the ibi by name, location, or object. I don’t know exactly how this works, but it certainly does because when I search “beach”, our beach pictures show up from various locations and different vacations!
ibi will allow you to share your photos with close friends and family.
Perhaps one of the things that sets ibi apart from other back-up type devices is the amazing ability to share photos, videos, or albums with family and friends. You might think, “Isn’t that what social media is for?”, but it isn’t at all in my mind. I have a lot of friends on social media that I don’t necessarily want to share all of my photos with, so this is where I’m loving the sharing aspect of ibi.
There are a couple of different ways to share your photos privately through ibi. You can invite someone, via their email address, to become a part of your inner circle. You can set which albums you want them to see and they can also share photo memories within your inner circle stream within the app.
You can also share an album via a private website link if they aren’t in your ibi inner circle.

The number one person I’ll be sharing photos with through ibi is my Mom. Although we live in the same house, she always wants to see the pictures I take, especially of the girls.
While I could share them through a text message or a Facebook post, I find it much easier to share through ibi since I’m already organizing my photos there and I don’t have to take extra steps to send them. If she wants to see photos, she can login and see them right on her ibi app screen!

In today’s smart world I’m always looking for devices that make my life easier and ibi does just that. It’s a smart photo manager that is helping me by bringing my photos and videos, and favorite people together in one place that’s easily accessible anytime, anywhere!
