A special thanks to Annie Chun’s for sponsoring today’s content and inspiring this delicious healthy snack mix. All opinions are my own.
Are you looking for a way to stay healthy and keep the pounds off while still snacking this Holiday season? This healthy snack mix is your answer!
It never fails. When the weather gets cooler and the pumpkins turn orange, I start snacking more. I don’t know if it’s because I end up being inside more or if it’s just because all those golden orange and olive green hues of the season tend to make me more hungry. Whatever the reason, I know that I have to snack smarter, which is what inspired this healthy snack mix featuring Annie Chun’s Roasted Seaweed Snacks.
Now I know that you might not find seaweed in most snack mixes, but you have to check this one out for a couple reason. First, I’ve found that my green-food-phobic children don’t make me share like they would with a traditional snack mix, which is fine by me because that means it’s all mine. I also find that the texture of the roasted seaweed snacks gives the snack mix a fun addition.
There are so many different combinations you could put together with Roasted Seaweed Snacks. In fact, most people probably eat them alone, but I find that there’s something fun about eating some of your favorite foods altogether in a trail mix kind of way.
To make your roasted seaweed snacks a little more bite size for this healthy snack mix, you’ll want to cut the sheets up into 6 pieces.
I chose to add in the Brown Sugar & Sea Salt seaweed snacks to my mix. I love that they’re already flavored so there’s no need to add anything else, other than a couple of some of my other favorite treats! This healthy snack mix features add-ins of Dried Cranberries, Mixed Nuts [only because I couldn’t decide between pecans and almonds], and unsweetened coconut flakes.
There’s nothing that goes with Fall more than mason jars, so it’s no surprise that you’ll find my jars filled with my beautiful colored snack mixes.
While it’s green color may make it obvious that seaweed is probably good for you, do you really know what benefits it offers? Seaweed provides a rich source of nutrients and contains vitamin K, iron, and calcium. Annie Chun’s Roasted Seaweed Snacks are also dairy free, vegan, and gluten free. Two varieties, Wasabi and Sesame, are also available USDA organic. Servings only contain 30 calories making it the perfect ingredient for a healthy snack mix!
If you’re ready to make your own healthy snack mix and start snacking smarter this Fall, head to your local grocer and pick up Annie Chun’s Roasted Seaweed Snacks. Be sure to let me know what combination you create!
