This post about my Fall Skin Essentials was inspired my partnership with Mom It Forward and Organic Doctor. All opinions are my own.
When Fall rolls around two adjectives come to my mind when it comes to my skin – cold and dry. These are the two things I try to combat with my must-have fall skin essentials.
While I love the scenery and the cooler temperatures of Fall, the season also brings with it really cold weather and dryness in the air, especially indoors. While I’m thankful for indoor heat, I can definitely feel a difference in the atmosphere inside my home that translates to my skin. That’s why my skin care routine changes some in the Fall and I’m sharing today 5 of my must-haves for Fall!
Nourishing and Moisturizing Facial Products
One part of my body that definitely feels dryness, and is noticeable to others as well, is my face. My skin gets dry and although moisturizer helps, a good facial skin care routine helps to alleviate the dryness above just using a moisturizer.
I was so excited to try out these products from Organic Doctor. In case you haven’t heard of Organic Doctor yet, let me tell you a little about the brand. Organic Doctor is an award-winning skincare and hair care line that has just launched in the US and you can find it in your local CVS stores! Hailing from Britain, Organic Doctor scours the planet for the finest botanical and naturally inspired ingredients to ensure that bioactive properties of the organic ingredients are truly captured.
Organic Doctor carries 8 Collections, each of which has a unique story to tell, giving consumers the opportunity to discover exciting ingredients from around the world. I received products from 2 of their collections including Organic Snail Gel and Organic Manuka Honey.
Organic Doctor® Snail Gel offers a new generation in skin revitalization care and I’m loving the Facial Serum and Eye Serm. They use the unique secretion the snail uses to regenerate its own shell to help hydrate and moisturize maturing skin and it definitely helps my body hold in moisture.
One thing I love in my skin care routine is a facial mask. I don’t know what it is, but I love to put on a face mask, like this Organic Manuka Honey mask from Organic Doctor, and snuggle up on the couch with a book and a blanket in the Fall! Manuka Honey, known as the “healing” honey, is produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native manuka bush and is renowned for its soothing properties and ability to restore and hydrate dry and cracked skin. It supports overall skin tone for softer looking skin.
Body Skin Care Routine
My face isn’t the only skin that gets so dry in the Fall. My feet and hands get especially dry and I’m always trying different lotions and creams to help. The Manuka Honey Rescue Cream from Organic Doctor has been a great moisturizer to add to my body care routine. You can see more nourishing skin care products from Organic Doctor on their website and find them for purchase as your local CVS.
Drinking More Water
Just because it’s not hot any more doesn’t mean you should put away your water bottles. I try to actually drink more water in the Fall and Winter than I do in the hot Summer months to help keep my body and skin hydrated and moisturized.
My Venta Airwasher is an appliance that runs year around, but I definitely don’t let it run out of water during the Fall. It acts as an air purifier, washer, and humidifier all in one and I can tell a huge difference in the atmosphere in my home and my skin when I’m without it! It’s the reason I want a mini one to travel with!
Taking daily vitamins is a great way to keep your skin at it’s best in the cooler months. I take Biotin daily for my hair, skin, and nails health.
Those are 5 of my must-haves for the best Fall skin and if you struggle with a good skin care routine, or dull dry skin, in the Fall, I’d highly suggest you add them into your regimen too!
