It’s a day that seems like it will never get here, but once December 1st hits in a blink of an eye it’s Christmas Eve! This is the 2nd biggest day of your Elf, so I’m here to make it even more fun [and easy] for you and your elf to say goodbye!
Planning our elf’s goodbye is one that I definitely do in advance! One of the easiest things to include is an Elf Goodbye Letter. You can find quite a few different versions to print, but I really love this Elf Christmas Eve letter printable the most.
An elf on the shelf goodbye letter is not the only way for your elf to make a scene and to say goodbye on Christmas Eve. Here are some other fun ideas that I’ve found that you can try!

If you haven’t had an Elf breakfast yet, Christmas Eve morning is a great time to have one! Our elf, Criddle, always brings a note asking Mom to make a special elf themed breakfast and the girls love it!

Another great idea is to incorporate balloons in your goodbye! There are lots of Elf balloon ideas, but a couple that would be great for Christmas Eve are a hot air balloon or stuffing your elf in a balloon!
