I received a complimentary copy of the book, Party in a Jar featuring Dino Terrarium Jars, at no cost to facilitate this review.  All opinions are my own.

I recently came across a blog that I’ve totally fallen in love with.  See Vanessa Craft is the place I go when I need a good craft for the girls.  Vanessa also just happens to be a fellow Step2 Ambassador, so when she asked if I’d like to take a special sneak peek at her brand new book Party in a Jar, I jumped at the chance.

I love that her crafts are easy enough for the everyday Mom, like me, and they’re always super fun for me and the girls both!  After flipping through the pages just once, I knew immediately which “jar” Sophia would want to make.

Party in a Jar Dino Jars

I have a couple dino obsessed little girls.  In fact, Sophia’s 4th birthday is coming up in 3 weeks and I bet you can’t guess the theme!  Dinosaurs!  Ok, you probably did.  So, even though I really wanted to try out a couple different projects – like these cute Easter Bunny Bath Bomb Jars…

We went with the Dino Terrarium Jars.  Party in a Jar is all about, you guessed it… crafts that involve jars!  As a Pinterest and mason jar loving society, don’t we all have a few extra jars sitting around?  I know I do and it’s a great way to re-purpose glass jars and even plastic jars like peanut butter containers and there’s even a craft for those cute Honey Bear jars in the book too!

Eating Dino Terrarium

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the small size of mason jars that would have been the cutest for our Dino Terrariums, but these cups worked just fine.

The Dino Terrarium Jars are a fun take on Mud Pies and the girls were totally loving that they got to put their toys in their food!  They loved them so much that I think we might just add them to the 4th Birthday Party Activity Line-up!

Speaking of parties, so many of the crafts in Party in a Jar would make perfect party crafts – both before the party and during if your little guests are old enough.  Here’s a party that Vanessa styled using the crafts Grass Hair Funny Face Jars and Space Nightlight Jars.
