Now that my girls are back in school, it’s imperative that I get on a good daily routine when it comes to work, activity, and eating healthy. I think it’s probably one of the best things about working from home, but can also be the worst. On a day where I’m feeling like I’m in a slump it’s way too easy to plant myself on the couch and binge old favorite TV shows.
But that’s also why a schedule and planning ahead are so important. I have been trying to stick with a routine of drinking a cup of water before my morning cup of coffee. Taking a walk around town after dropping the girls off school is also in my morning routine. And having plenty of healthy snacks on hand is another super important one, otherwise I grab whatever is closest.
There are 3 main snacks that I’m totally crushing on lately and the best part is they are all travel-friendly so I can eat them on-the-go or at home while I’m working on my computer.
Pearls Olives to Go!®
It’s perhaps one of the funnest snacks I’ve ever had on the go because I’m completely olive obsessed, but you don’t often think of them as being a travel-friendly snack… until now!
Check out these fun, on-the-go travel packs from Pearls! They’re convenient, healthy, and delicious – especially in the new 3 flavors from Pearls Olives! – Sriracha, Italian Herb, and Taco infused flavors.

DIY Snack Packs – Trail Mix
A few months ago my Mother-in-Law shared some delicious, prepackaged refrigerated trail mix type snacks with me. They were so yummy but when I went to buy them, I couldn’t believe the price. That’s when I decided to start making my own for a fraction of the price.
I just pick up a block of cheese – my favorite is always Pepperjack, and cube that up. I like to add in roasted peanuts and raisins and this combo is just perfect – salty, sweet, and spicy cheese! The best part of making your own trail mix and snacks to go is the way you can customize with foods that you like.
I’m also a sucker for sweet treats and sugary fruit snacks are my weakness. I was so excited when I found a fruit bar that has all the sweetness of real fruit, added benefits of Chia seeds, and is relatively chewy to really get that “eating a fruit snack” feel without the additives! I almost always have one of these in my bag for a filling, sweet snack when I get a craving.
