I received a Ninja Cooking System to facilitate this review. All opinions are my own.
Just a couple of months ago, I introduced you to one of my favorite new small appliances. The Ninja Ultima Blender is my go-to for making delicious smoothies, especially for an on-the-go breakfast option for myself, and it easily replaced my old blender and food processor. Today I’m sharing with you one of Ninja’s newest small kitchen appliances that I think blow your mind – like it did mine.
The 3-in-1 Ninja Cooking System is a small kitchen appliance that can do the work of: Slow Cooker, Stove Top, Rice Cooker, Vegetable Steamer, Roaster, and your Oven!
I know, I know – that’s more than a 3-in-1 but the Ninja Cooking System can do all of those things. Let me show you how…
The Cooking System comes with one main component [where you see the controls], with a removable pot [which is dishwasher safe!], Multipurpose Pan, Roasting Rack, and Lid. The pot is the only part of the system that is dishwasher safe, so you have to remember to hand the lid and pans. One thing to note is the relatively light weight of the pot. Our old slow cooker was SO heavy for me to lift and empty.
We’ve been using the Cooking System for a few weeks now and I do admit that it’s hard to remember what all this little machine can do! I tend to rely on it as a slow cooker, but we’ve used it in a couple other ways too.
Hubby is definitely the one that is going to love this the most. He loves making Filipino inspired dishes and he normally has to sear his meat then put everything in the slow cooker and uses way too many pots and pans for 1 dish. He simply uses the stovetop function now to sear the meat, then turns the dial to slow cook when he’s ready to add the rest of the ingredients!
The machine is really easy to use – which is important for someone like me that likes to skip the instruction booklet and just get hands on first thing. There are 2 knobs: the larger one controls the stovetop and slow cook controls – easy, right? The right knob controls the oven function and the button above that controls the timer.
The Slow Cook setting is truly a Set It and Forget It type of cooking and according to your responses to how you’d use the system most – you all love the idea of being able to let it do all the cooking work for you! The Ninja Cooking System will automatically switch to AUTO WARM once your Slow Cook Cooking Cycle is complete – genius, right!?
I haven’t taken the opportunity to steam bake in the Ninja Cooking System yet, but I plan to very soon. I was a little concerned with coming up with different recipes to use with the system, but Ninja Kitchen has me covered there too. There are a ton of recipes, using the System in different ways, right on their website. Take a look at some of them here – and have a look at this delicious Hearty Skillet Lasagna!
I’m definitely thinking about investing in a few of the accessories for the system too – like the full Recipe Book with over 150 recipes and I love the Ninja Tote which would make traveling with already prepared meals much easier.
I would definitely recommend the Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System for every household. It cooks 30% faster using Triple Fusion Heat Technology. Cooks with 30% less fat by cooking with steam in baked good and roasting, and provides for super fast clean-up as the pot is non-stick and super easy to clean. I do want to note that you should never deep fry in the Ninja Cooking System – it is not meant for this purpose. If you’re looking for deep frying options, Ninja Professional Frying System.
You can purchase the Ninja Cooking System right on the Ninja Kitchen website for $199.99. This model comes with the removable pot and lid, roasting rack, multi-purpose pan, and the 150+ Recipe booklet! The same model is available on Amazon.com for $149.99 but doesn’t include the recipe book.
