Ninja has definitely proved a mighty company in the kitchen appliance category and one of their BEST products is back. The Ninja crockpot, although it’s technically not just a slow cooker, is my favorite kitchen appliance and is getting a major upgrade after 9 years!
This Ninja cooking system is back and better than ever.

Sometimes I feel like I might need a kitchen appliance intervention. I know there are a ton more appliances than what I have, but sometimes I feel like – well, it’s just a lot.
I recently took an inventory of what appliances I might be able to part with and donate. I found a couple – like a dehydrator I never used apart from the day I got it and a bread maker that was treated the same way.
But I came across one of my favorites and just had to come update this blog post. I got the 3-in-1 Ninja Cooking System in 2014 – yes, 9 years ago at this point and it is STILL one that gets used regularly. In fact, it’s been so long ago, it’s hard to find these great machines still around.
But I still, up to just a few months ago, got questions on where to buy the beloved Ninja crockpot.
Are you ready for the BEST NEWS? Ninja JUST RELEASED AN UPDATED VERSION! I ordered mine from Amazon and can’t wait to show you how awesome this upgrade is!
Spoiler Alert – I highly dislike the name and really all of the names of Ninja products. They are SO hard to remember and the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Pro is at the top of the list. But, we’ll just follow the rule of don’t judge a kitchen appliance by it’s name!

This blog post was originally a Ninja cooking system review, of the old unit that I received 9 years ago. It survived a move, a yearly kitchen clean-out, and the donation pile for 9 years. It was actually still working great and going strong, so I gifted it to my Aunt.
If you still have the older version, you’re probably looking to upgrade also. While the new Ninja crockpot has pretty much all of the same settings, there are some upgrades that would be worth the investment.
But first. Wait – does Ninja even make a crockpot, you’re asking. Well, yes and no. This machine’s name was technically the Ninja 3-in-1 cooking system and that’s because it can bake, work as a stove top, and a slow cooker. The new version of the Ninja crock pot does EVEN MORE!
The Ninja Cooking System [Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Pro]is made up of 3 main parts: the main component [where you see the controls], a removable, dishwasher-safe, non-stick pot, and a glass lid. You’ll also get this nifty, multi-function utensil that sits right on top of the glass lid or on your countertop, without dirtying either.
Here’s why it is the best Ninja crockpot!
- Lightweight
- Sear and slow cook in the same pot
- Cooks 30% faster
- 8.5 quart capacity
- Dishwasher safe
- Oven safe, up to 500 degrees
I really have to call out the light weight of the inner pot. Our old slow cooker was SO heavy for me to lift, especially when food was inside. This meant I hated to clean it because it was so heavy, but that’s not true for the Ninja. It’s so light and easy to clean because of the non-stick surface.
But this Ninja crockpot quickly took the place of my other slow cooker for one main reason… the stove top function! I love that I can sear meat, our favorite is making this 2 ingredient shredded pork, and slow cook it in the same appliance.
With this Ninja slow cooker, I simply turn the knob to the stovetop function, sear the meat, then turn the dial to slow cook when I’m ready!
The machine is really easy to use – which is important for someone like me that likes to skip the instruction booklet and just get hands on first thing.
The Slow Cook setting is truly a Set It and Forget It type of cooking. The Ninja Cooking System will automatically switch to AUTO WARM once your slow cook cycle is complete – genius, right!?
If you can’t wait, you can go ahead and order yours from Amazon or Walmart now!
I would definitely recommend the Ninja Crockpot for every household. It cooks 30% faster using Triple Fusion Heat Technology. It also cooks with 30% less fat by cooking with steam in baked good and roasting, and provides for super fast clean-up as the pot is non-stick and super easy to clean.
What other functions does the Ninja Crockpot have?
- Sear/Saute
- Steam
- Keep Warm
- Sous Vide
- Braise
- Bake
- Proof [so genius for making homemade breads!]
Can you deep fry in a Ninja Cooking System?
While it seems like a great idea since the pot is so deep, you can not deep fry in this Ninja 3 in 1. It wasn’t made for that purpose, but they do still offer the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer, which is an amazing looking air fryer and next on my list of “wants”.
Why is the Ninja 3 in 1 no longer sold?
This is the million dollar question because I don’t know! I think it was a huge mistake to take this great kitchen appliance off the market and I hope it comes back.
As I’ve said, ours was still going strong after 9 years so it was a great investment! Whether you have the old version or are just looking for a Ninja Cooking System that functions like a Crockpot, you’re going to love this appliance – the new Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker Pro!
When the previous Ninja 3-in-1 Cooking System was sold, it retailed for $199.99. So the price point of the new Foodi PossibleCooker Pro is fantastic at just $149.99, but be sure to check the current price on Amazon as it’s usually lower!

Hi Rita - I haven't seen that infomercial, but this does not have a stir device on the bottom of the pot. It is nonstick and can proof bread, but not mix or shred. Thanks!

Everything I I’ve have cooked in my relatively new ninja as burned dried out or become uneatable. What is wrong?

That's not good, Cathy. I'm really not sure, unless you might be overcooking. I've noticed it cooks hotter and faster than any other slow cooker. Try shortening your cooking times.
