Cleaning Without Harsh Chemicals – Is It Really Possible?

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Aquavert. All opinions are my own.

When you make the decision to begin cleaning without harsh chemicals, it doesn’t mean you sacrifice how clean your home is. Using the right products will help you have a clean home without harmful chemicals.

Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to clean bathrooms while still being able to breathe safely at the same time? It IS possible and if you’re still using harsh chemical cleaners to clean your home, it’s time to stop. Not only can harsh chemicals damage surfaces, they can damage your health as well.

My family started on a journey to limit chemicals, especially harsh chemical cleaners, when Sophia was born. I decided then that I didn’t want to risk her getting hurt by coming into contact with dangerous ingredients so it was best to do away with them completely. Having children definitely put cleaner and safer products at the forefront of my mind, but it’s not the only reason you should consider cleaning without harsh chemicals.

Another reason to switch cleaning products is for the environment. It’s an obvious one for most, but in ways that can sometimes be overlooked. While we think about the effects on the air that surrounds us, it’s also important to look at the type of cleaners that you’re washing down your sinks and showers.

I also choose to use cleaners without harsh chemicals to support brands and companies who are doing their part in making the world and environment a cleaner place. I’ve tried many different brands over the past 7 years and today I’m sharing the one that we’re currently using.

Aquavert is a brand of unique cleaning and sanitizing product made from Hypochlorous Acid, which is a naturally occurring acid derived from salt, water and electricity. It kills 99.99% of common, harmful bacteria found in the home like E. Coli, salmonella, and even MRSA. Aquavert is made with no harsh chemicals – no bleach, no ammonia, and no alcohols!  With that, there are no known skin, eye or respiratory irritants which means that you can clean and breathe at the same time.

While I’ve been using Aquavert to clean my bathroom counters, shower, and even in the kitchen as well, my favorite use is as a Sanitizer. Often when we think of sanitizer, we think bleach, right? Would you believe me if I told you that Aquavert, an eco-friendly cleaner with NO harsh chemicals, is actually 120 times more powerful at killing the deadliest of germs and bacteria than liquid bleach!? But yet, it’s completely safe and can be used around small children and pets! In fact, there’s no need to even rinse when you’re using Aquavert as a sanitizer. Either let it air dry, or wipe with a towel.

It is possible, and actually more effective, to clean without harsh chemicals when you have the right products. A combination of water, salt, and an electrical charge is exactly what you find in Aquavert. It’s time to rethink using harmful chemical cleaners and start cleaning without harsh chemicals in our homes.

Aquavert Multi-Purpose Sanitizer is available on their website, along with other sanitizer options including a Degreaser, On the Go Sanitizer, and Pet Stain & Odor Remover. With two cats and a dog in our house, I’m definitely ordering this one next!

Hello,

My fiancée and I are starting to go green. We have just started using equal parts water and vinegar to clean with. The smell is hard to get over, but it's feels better using this than harsh chemicals. We've just been told about putting lemon peels in it to make it smell better. Have you ever tried this?

Oh I haven't actually! I honestly like the smell of vinegar [weird maybe] so it doesn't bother me at all. I'd highly recommend Aquavert if you're having trouble getting over the smell. It has no smell at all - and definitely no harsh chemicals!
