This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of ezH2O Bottle Filling Stations for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I’ve been traveling a lot over the past few months and one of the things that I made sure was always in my carry-on bag was my reusable water bottle. I hadn’t been in many airports before this Summer, but on my first trip of the summer in July I noticed these great water bottle filling stations in most of the airports I visited.
Sure I have seen plenty of water fountains in various public places but these water bottle filling stations were totally different. It turns out they really are totally different! Not only do the ezH20 bottle filling stations by Elkay encourage use of reusable water bottles and the healthy choice of choosing to drink water over the convenience of soda bottles, but they are also more hygienic than standard drinking fountains.
ezH2O units dispense water in a laminar flow, meaning that the water stream is absent of any water bubbles leaving no room for bacteria to enter the water stream. Plus, the electronic sensor provides hand-free sanitary operation with an automatic 20-second shut-off timer. The visual filter monitor gives users peace of mind that the water they are consuming is as clean as possible.
In addition, the ezH20 bottle filling stations fill bottles faster than standard fountains – three times as fast which is definitely a plus when you’re trying to make a connecting flight.
After seeing the ezH20 stations in the airports, it got me thinking about other places that could really benefit from this innovative bottle filling station. In addition to public places like malls, parks, and zoos, one of the best places I could see the benefit of these stations is in schools!
One of the items on Sophia’s school supply list for Kindergarten was a water bottle. Every day after they go outside for recess they have a water break and get to fill up their reusable water bottles. I am totally in love with the fact that her school is promoting healthy behavior with a water break instead offering sugary sodas and juices and the fact that they’re instilling the notion in their students to use water bottles rather than disposable cups. But I do know that it takes a bit of time to fill up 18 water bottles daily and the ezH20 bottle filling station would be a bit time saver for schools. I also love the fact that the ezH2O bottle filling stations by Elkay are hands-free, which makes them a perfect option for schools too! In fact, the stations have already positively impacted a California school district.
In addition to ditching disposable cups and saving time with water bottle fill-ups, the ezH20 water bottle filling stations by Elkay also offer students and their families another way to save money. There’s no need to purchase drinks at school when your child has a healthy, cool alternative available at the station!

This is exactly what the parents at Nova Middle School were saying would be perfect for our school! We are a public lottery school with children from all across Broward County. Thanks!
