Bento Lunch at Home on Eco Friendly Toddler Tableware

You all know that we’ve been bit by the bento bug in our house. Well, in particular the bitty bentos bug.

Most of the time I save my lunch creativity for the 2 days a week that Sophia goes to preschool, but I just couldn’t resist a fun, Toddler Bento Lunch at home this week!

Toddler Bento Lunch Eco Friendly Tableware

How could I with that adorable plate, right?  I can’t wait to tell you all about Sophia’s new eco friendly tableware from ecoSweetie!

We were sent a package of ecoSweetie eco and toddler friendly tableware to share with you…

It was packaged in a lovely, natural and reusable boxes which made opening the package even more fun for me and Sophia.

And I didn’t even realize, but the fork and spoon can sit atop the pink fish plate – even cuter!

At first glance, you can tell that the products are high quality. They’re thick, feel very durable {which is important in toddler tableware, right!?}, and the colors are so bright and fun. Not only that – this tableware is made from something that was totally new to me… PLA.

PLA, or Polylactic acid, is derived from renewable resources such as corn, wheat, sweet potatoes, and other crops. From these materials, starch is extracted and undergoes a fermentation process, along with other polymerization processes, to produce a biodegradable material. All processes involved are non-toxic.

The tableware is top-rack dishwasher safe and is designed to last up to 5 years. The best part? When you’re done with it, it’s not going to just sit in a landfill – it’s biodegradable!

With the adorable fish plate, I decided to make a whole lunch inspired by Sea Life.  So, Sophia received…

Fishy Nutella Sandwiches, Beach Ball Peas on a Stick, Marshmallow Sea Flowers, Cheese Penguin, Carrot and Pretzel Diving Sticks, and a Applesauce Starfish!

Most of the time, I just put cute bento accessories to make a fun lunch, but it certainly was fun sticking to a theme like this one, inspired by our new ecoSweetie tableware! And I couldn’t leave little Sister out of the bento lunch fun either.

In addition to the Fish Plate and Bowl and Kitty Cat Spoon and Fork ecoSweetie products that we received, they have an array of other PLA tableware, including…

So you see, it’s easy to be inspired to have toddler bento lunches at home with such cute and eco friendly toddler tableware!
