While I’m definitely riding the Back to School wave, I can’t say that it’s always an easy one to catch. Sophia just started first grade this week and Moreaya will start her second year of Pre-K on Monday. It takes a bit to get back into the groove of school routines for everyone in the house. But often times, as Moms, we tend to neglect ourselves to take care of the rest of the family. While they’re important, our self care is important too, which is why I want to encourage you to take care of yourself by getting enough sleep this Back to School season!

I admit that my mind is usually racing at bed time with the 100 things on my To-Do list for the next morning, which always includes making sure backpacks are full, lunch boxes are packed, and socks match when they’re on two feet. Most nights I need a little extra help getting that healthy amount of sleep, which I’ve learned is more than the 6 hours that I usually get during this hectic time of the year.

  2. I have never taken Melatonin, but I always wondered if it actually worked. This would be so great! I have such a terrible time sleeping! God bless and good luck everyone!
  3. Yes, we use melatonin regularly since reading that the body needs it, not just for sleeping, and that the body produces less and less melatonin every decade of your life, so supplementation is necessary.
  4. I haven't tried melatonin yet but I am going to try it out now. I wake up a lot during the night, at least 3 times.
