I have been a huge fan of Piggy Paint as soon as I had Sophia. Those cute little piggies were just begging for some color, but I was obviously worried about putting nail polish on them. I mean, if it smells that strong toxic, imagine what’s in it!

So, when I stumbled over Piggy Paint at a natural, local cloth diaper store, I was intrigued and purchased the Toe-Tally Fancy Set right then!
We acquired a few different colors and have been Piggy Paint fans ever since.
So when this lovely box arrived at my door, I couldn’t wait to show Sophia…
This kid is obsessed with blue, so I obviously bet myself that she would pick the front and center Tea Party for Two, but she actually went with the Ice Cream Dream {which she proclaimed was green AND blue!} and then proceeded to order tell me I would wear pink and Moreaya wear purple.
She thinks that you have to pick things that are your favorite color, you see.
I always get asked “How do you get her to sit so still?”
Sophia is quite the little wiggle worm {don’t even get me started on Moreaya}, so we definitely have to be creative. When I received the Color Me Happy set, it included a Piggy Paint business card that advised: Ensure maximum dryness and chip resistance by using a hair dryer to dry polish for one minute with warm heat/low setting (for some extra fun while waiting for the polish to dry – sing 2 rounds of the ABC’s)!
After that tip, here’s what ensued:
I think the fact that we were singing the ABC’s in silly voices made the process even more fun and special between us two.
Here’s another little tip of my own – Rinse freshly polished fingernails under cold water for a few seconds to seal the coat too!
Baby Safe Nail Polish
One of the funnest things about having a little girl is getting her all dolled up sometimes {admit it!}, but if you’re like me, you watch the products that come into contact with your little ones.
Piggy Paint is natural as mud – Non-Toxic, Odorless, Water-Based, and Hypoallergenic. It’s also safe during pregnancy AND non-flammable.
The Colors – OH MY!
If you can’t find a color that you or your child won’t enjoy, well, I don’t believe you!
Kid-Friendly
Oh yes, the colors are nice and the fact that Piggy Paint is non-toxic is very nice, but it also dries quickly and is a bit harder to remove than regular nail polish which is a good thing when we’re talking about kids!
Availability
When I first found Piggy Paint, it was a bit hard to get your hands on. But now it seems like it’s being carried in more stores everyday including online at Amazon.com.
