aden+anais for Adults [a Review of the bamboo daydream blanket]
I received an aden+anais daydream blanket for review purposes. All opinions and absolute love for this luxurious blanket are real and 100% my thoughts.
I’ve been a lover of all things aden+anais for about 3 years now. I’m a little sad that I didn’t discover this luxurious brand until after Sophia was older for she definitely missed the pampering touch of a lovely swaddle tucked in a+a.
Of course she enjoyed that swaddle a little later than normal, but still, she enjoyed it. Moreaya has been an aden+anais blanket girl from the start and still sleeps with a swaddle blanket [definitely a security blanket for her] and her bamboo dream blanket keeping her warm every night. From the moment I reviewed the swaddles I wished for an adult sized version. Either they really listen to what I have to say or I wasn’t alone in that request, because aden+anais started producing daydream blankets just 2 short years ago. [Just in case they really listen to me – aden+anais, I’d LOVE a King Size Sheet Set!!!]
I had the opportunity to try out the muslin version last year, as a part of my Holiday Gift Guide, and sang it’s praises loud and clear. Right at this moment, it’s sitting on my husband’s recliner as it does every day because he took it over. My beloved daydream is now known as “Daddy’s blanket” and although I’m glad he likes it, this only child isn’t so great at sharing. That’s why I have a new blanket draped across my section of the couch and everyone has been made quite aware that this one is all Mommy’s!
When I saw that aden+anais had created a bamboo version in the daydream blanket, I knew it was for me. Moreaya’s bamboo dream blanket is so incredibly soft and has been used daily – yes, daily for over a year and a half now. I couldn’t wait to see how the adult sized bamboo would match up against the muslin daydream.
I received the Veranda Bamboo Daydream Blanket, which is made of four-layers of rayon from bamboo fiber muslin. The colors and design are subtle but beautiful and definitely makes this blanket perfect for draping over furniture for a home accent when it’s not being used.
They measure 60″ by 72″ which makes them the perfect cuddle on the couch type and even big enough to share – I said I don’t like to share, but I do share sometimes!
I’m a little surprised by the fact that the bamboo daydream blanket seems to be a lot lighter and cooler as a blanket. I’ve only washed it a couple of times since receiving it so it might bulk up a bit more as it’s washed, but right now it’s more of a light blanket compared to it’s muslin counterpart.
