On the Go Snacks – Jif To Go Dippers

Airplane Travel

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Influence-Central for Jif To Go Dippers. I received a sample to facilitate my review and a thank you item for participating. A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to travel to Orlando for a Julius Jr. Weekend at the Nickelodeon Hotel.  It was a fabulous weekend of entertainment for the girls and one that none of us will ever forget!  Not only did we get to visit a city full of fun, but it was the girls' first time flying on an airplane. To say I was a wee bit nervous about flying with a 4 year old and a 2 year old... well, that's an understatement.  Sophia and Moreaya are really good girls, but any time you're talking going through security, sitting in a pretty tight space for an hour, keeping toddlers entertained, AND keeping them happy and fed while on the plane … [Read more...]

Lunching Awesome with Applegate HALF TIME Lunch Kits [+ giveaway!]

KIT Giveaway

This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own. Let me just tell you, these girls have been lunching awesome for a few weeks now.  I am so glad that we discovered the new HALF TIME™ Lunch Kits from Applegate because they're convenient, delicious [so the girls rave], and organic. No GMO ingredients No fillers No artificial ingredients No chemical nitrates or nitrates added When we're grocery shopping there's always a "Hey, Mom - can we get one of those" when we go by the yellow boxed lunch section.  I take a tiny bit offense to say that plainly stacked crackers a teensy tiny candy bar would look more appetizing than some of the bento lunches I make for them, but I have to remember - it's marketing and my little gals are falling right into it. So when Applegate launched the … [Read more...]

Make Bath Times Fun for Even the Most Sensitive Skin with Baby Mantra

Baby Mantra Conditioner

I participated in Influencer Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Baby Mantra. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. I've shared a lot about the struggles of finding personal care products that work with my girls' sensitive skin.  It's been a real struggle since they were both little when I would find small patches of eczema in creases of their elbows and the backs of their knees.  It made for sometimes boring baths, with no bubbles no matter how much they begged.  That's why, when I find a bubble bath that is sensitive enough for my girls, I have to share it with you! Baby Mantra is a new-to-me brand that I'm really loving more and more as I read about their products. With natural ingredients that have been allergy tested AND that are easy to read and … [Read more...]

Achieving Blogging Freedom with the Libman Freedom Spray Mop [+an Exclusive Libman #Coupon]

Libman Freedom Mop

It may sound a little silly to say that a mop is helping me achieve blog freedom, but it really is.  You see, just a few weeks ago Libman contacted me about my blogging habits.  They recognized the fabulous effort that hubby and I put forth in ripping up our carpets and laying down hardwood floors this past Spring.  I'm also afraid they've been spying on me while I take photographs for blog posts too because they challenged me to share Where I Blog, both before and after using the Libman Freedom Spray Mop. It's a challenge that I didn't take lightly.  Honestly I don't want you to see what my house looks like really.  I like for everyone to see the pictures that make my house look totally clean and organized - you know, the pictures that lead you to believe my 2 girls silently walk around not disturbing anything.  All their toys are … [Read more...]

Nourish Your Toddler and Their Diet with Enfagrow Toddler

enfagrowgiveaway

When my girls were older infants, I bragged about how they ate - how they ate just about any food, any vegetables that you put on their plate would be gobbled right up.  Then they became toddlers and it was like a switch was flipped overnight.  They became picky and only wanted to stick to certain foods for that weren't always the healthiest of choices. As a concerned Mom, I have always worried about their intake of vitamins and minerals.  I try to serve healthy options at every meal, but sometimes they just won't even touch it, like when I serve fresh veggies with hummus... Yes, the hummus gets eaten with fingers and the veggies lay untouched.  One area that I really had been neglecting, simply for lack of education, was their DHA intake, which is one reason I was happy to be a part of this Enfagrow sponsored campaign. DHA is … [Read more...]

Step2 Ford Raptor: Built Girl Tough

Ford Raptor from Step2

I am a Step2 Ambassador and am partnering with Step2 for the following review. I received a product in exchange for my review and honest opinion. If there's one thing that my girls love, it's being outside so when we get a new toy that can make their outside time even more fun - they're in love. That's pretty much how I would sum up their feelings about the new 2-in-1 Ford® F-150 Raptor SVT from Step2.  From the moment the box was delivered, these girls were ready drive around their own Ford Truck.  Unfortunately Daddy wasn't home when the box arrived and I was a tiny bit concerned when I pulled the parts out of the box. It seemed like quite the assembly process, but since I was talking up the "Girls can be tough, Girls can drive trucks!" mentality with them, I had to show just how good I could get with a screwdriver.  That's all … [Read more...]

How Do the NEW FuzziBunz One Size Cloth Diapers Stand Up? [+ a giveaway!]

FuzziBunz Giveaway

I've been out of the cloth diaper scene for a few months now since Moreaya potty trained.  It was really my life for the last 4 and a half years so I have a lot of experience with cloth diapers, but I swear things have really changed in just the last few months, including one of the biggest changes in one of the top brands on the market... FuzziBunz! FuzziBunz Cloth Diapers were one of my favorites with both girls, specifically their Perfect Size Diapers.  Although I loved the concept of an One Size Cloth Diaper, those perfect sizes just gave us the best fit, so I had quite a few in our stash.  Just recently, FuzziBunz changed ownership and with that decided to totally re-design their One Size Cloth Diaper and they sent me a couple to share with you! While some might call this post a review, please remember that I don't have a child … [Read more...]

Tomato, Spinach, and Pancetta Frittata [+ a review of the Philips Airfryer]

Frittata on Plate

Do you love making delicious meals that are easy?!  Yeah, you know I do and today's recipe for a Tomato Spinach and Pancetta Frittata is just that.  I know, it doesn't look like it would be something that you could literally throw together and it cook itself, but it really is - see the recipe below! A few weeks ago I received an email asking if I would like to learn more about a newer kitchen appliance from Philips [to review at no cost to me].  When I read the specs on the Philips Airfryer, I have to admit, I was totally intrigued and totally a skeptic.  I was so intrigued [and still skeptical] that I sent the link to my husband and my best friend saying "I'm going to eat fried chicken every day if this thing really works!" You see, here in the South, we like our fried foods.  Just ask my blogging friends that joined me in east … [Read more...]

How To Jump Start Your Child’s Digestive Health with Florastor Kids [+ giveaway!]

Jump Start Child's Health

I am part of the PTPA Brand Ambassador Program with Florastor and I received compensation as part of my affiliation with this group.  The opinions on this blog are my own. Both of my girls were amazingly healthy eaters when they were really little.  Sophia's favorite food was a green one - broccoli.  Any time we had it, she always asked for more.  Moreaya was the same way with peas.  Then something happened, the same thing that seems to happen to all toddlers - the color green and food just doesn't work well together any more and you struggle with getting them to eat anything healthy it seems. [I know I'm not alone here!] So, what do you do when picky eating actually becomes a problem?  Putting your child on a multivitamin is always a great first step, but there are other issues that can arise because of dietary neglect on the picky … [Read more...]

Updating Outdoors: A Review of the Brylane Home Wood Gazebo

Brylane Home Wood Gazebo

We spend a lot of time outdoors in the Spring-Fall.  With two girls that would rather be playing outside than spending time indoors, it's only natural that we'd want to spruce up our outdoor setting.  Each year we add a new project to our house - to better it and make it more updated and more us.  In the past, we've updated landscaping, built a wooden deck for our patio, installed container garden beds, and turned our backyard into a toy sanctuary. This year has been all about updating our back deck sitting conditions.  We entertain friends and family a lot, so we needed an area that welcomes guests and makes every day sitting a pleasure outside. One thing that has been a complete eye sore this year was our patio umbrella.  It normally sits over our table to provide us with a bit of shade since we don't have any trees or anything else … [Read more...]

A Cat That’s Going Green: Eco Friendly Cat Litter from Swheat Scoop

Cat with Swheat Scoop

This is a sponsored conversation about eco friendly cat litter on behalf of Swheat Scoop.  All opinions expressed are my own. As a family that's been on a going green journey for over 4 years now [oh that fateful day that we decided to use cloth diapers while I was pregnant with Sophia], I've changed a lot of things in our household.  We use way less paper products and many more chemical-free products all over the house now.  One area that I hadn't really thought much about has to do with the 5th member of our family... Roxy! Roxy was my first child - as a graduating Senior in high school, I found her looking for a home and I took her into ours and she's made it through adding 3 more additions to our family since - Rob, Sophia, and Moreaya!  I once read a quote that your pets are your babies until you have babies and then they become … [Read more...]
