All opinions are mine alone. #ScottTubeFree #CollectiveBias You may have noticed a little less green around here as I've transitioned to Lindsey Blogs from So Easy Being Green. It's mainly because I've been striving to share more of me and less of the end goal of me. I often felt misaligned with the former blog name and more aligned with the mainstream green crowd - you know, the family that sees small, eco-friendly changes make a difference in the world and the family that is consistently trying to make more of those small changes. If you find your family in that description of mainstream green, today's post is for you, especially if you're like me and want those changes to come easy. In fact, this post should actually be titled "6 incredibly easy ways to … [Read more...]

Pineapple Mango and Avocado Fresh Salsa

Fresh Salsa

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #NaturallyClean #CollectiveBias   It's Summer and one word that keeps coming up in my kitchen in the summer time is fresh. Fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, fresh recipes - summer means fresh to me and today I'm sharing one of my favorite new fresh salsa recipes featuring 3 of my favorite foods... Pineapples, Mangoes, and Avocados! Even though Tennessee isn't exactly known for it's tropical trees, I can find a great selection of fresh produce in our local stores - which makes it feel like we have mango trees growing right in our backyard [which just happens to be a dream of mine]. I am loving this fresh salsa as a topping for tacos, in a delicious quick chicken wrap for lunch, or even as a snack with tortilla chips. The … [Read more...]

ReUse CLASSICO® Pasta Sauce Jars with reCAP®

Mason Jar Soap Dispenser

I've partnered with CLASSICO® and reCAP® to share how to reuse pasta sauce jars and received product, coupons, premium items and reader giveaway coupons as a part of my participation. All opinions given here are fully my own. #CLASSICOMakeItYourOwn   Last week I received a beautiful shipment of products that had me so excited to spend a little time in the kitchen. We're huge fans of CLASSICO pasta sauce already, but I was excited to see some great new products, and especially recipe cards, in our CLASSICO box. In the box was also a few packages from reCAP. I almost always reuse our pasta sauce jars and mason jars, but sometimes I don't feel like I'm really utilizing them like I could. Sure, you can screw the lid back on some jars, but I knew there had to be a better option out there - there is and it's reCAP, but more on … [Read more...]

Best Cloth Diapers for New Parents

Best Cloth Diapers PIn

This post about the Best Cloth Diapers for New Parents was inspired by a collaboration with Buttons Diapers. All opinions are my own. Even though it's been a bit since my own cloth diapering days, my cloth diaper posts are still some of the most popular here on the blog. After over 4 years of using cloth on my girls and with my title of a blogger I was able to experience a ton of different cloth diapers through reviews [really, quite a few - check out my extensive catalog of cloth diaper reviews here] and had the experience of cloth diapering both my girls as newborns, infants, and even toddlers. But perhaps the time when parents have the most questions about cloth diapers is before they even start! That's why I'm sharing the Best Cloth Diapers for New Parents today! Cloth Diapering can seem totally overwhelming at first glance - … [Read more...]

Kids Garden Activity: ReUse Yogurt Cups to Plant Organic Seeds

Planting Seeds Collage

This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own. It's Spring time and we've been spending every possible moment that we can outside during these last few weeks. The girls love it and it gives me a renewed sense of energy, especially after all the moving stress that's been happening! We're in our new house and absolutely loving our surroundings but one thing we're definitely missing is our container gardens this year. Our new home has a wonderful yard but building our container gardens has been put on the back burner for a bit until we're really settled in. But that doesn't mean we have to skip on the Spring planting season, of course! As a brand partnership for the month, Stonyfield Organic connected us with High Mowing Organic Seeds for our garden. We were sent quite the spread of seeds and that … [Read more...]

5 Reasons I’m Excited to be a ClimateStore Ambassador

This post was written in a collaboration with ClimateStore as a part of their Ambassador program.  All opinions are my own. In case you haven't noticed that lovely little button on the right, I've been chosen to be a ClimateStore Ambassador and am completely honored with the title.  I have joined seven other bloggers, some who are probably already on your reading list as they are on mine and others that I can't wait to get to know, to join ClimateStore on spreading the word about easy green living and spreading the message about climate change, and more importantly, to increase awareness of carbon lowering solutions. Since I'm so excited to join this program, I thought I would let YOU know why I am! Education I've admitted that  I'm just a Mom living in east Tennessee and don't claim to know everything there is about living a … [Read more...]

Natural Remedies for Health & Wellness with Well Scent

Easy Natural Remedies

This post about natural remedies for health and wellness was inspired by a collaboration with Well Scent.  All opinions are my own. It seems every blog that I read and every person on instagram that I follow has been talking essential oils lately.  It's definitely something that I've been getting into more myself as I look for more natural remedies and products to use in everyday routines.  One thing that slows my uses of essential oils is education.  I know oils are powerful and I just don't know where to start learning all about them... until now! When Well Scent reached out for a review of their products, I was not only ecstatic to add to my oil collection, but absolutely intrigued because the site offered something that I hadn't found before... background, information, and education on the products they offer. Well Scent is a … [Read more...]

Spring Cleaning with Murchison-Hume Green Cleaning Products

This post was inspired by a collaboration with Murchison-Hume. I was sent complimentary products for review. All opinions are my own. Today I'm so excited to introduce you to a new-to-me brand that has totally taken over my bathrooms... and kitchen, and, well, every room in the house during the past couple of weeks.  You see, Murchison-Hume couldn't have come into our house at a better time.  We currently have our house up for sale [as we prepare to move in just ONE WEEK - yikes!], so in the midst of packing and chaotic nature of a household of four being moved, we've also been allowing potential buyers in to see our house. To be honest, it's been a bit of a stressful nightmare, but we're getting there.  It's virtually impossible to keep a house clean with two girls running around 12 hours a day - while trying to work from home AND … [Read more...]

EcoFriendly Greeting Cards from Plymouth Card Company

Plymouth Card Company giveaway

This post about ecofriendly greeting cards is brought to you by Plymouth Card Company.  All opinions are my own. Even though there's still snow on the ground here in east Tennessee, I keep reminding myself that Spring is just around the corner!  There's just something about knowing Spring is so close that makes me all cheery inside - maybe it's the thought of warm weather on it's way, or a sense of new beginnings as the Spring flowers start to appear... whatever it is, I'm looking forward to it! Spring this year is also bringing my family a new beginning.  We're moving to a new house and in preparation for the move, I've begun to pack up some of our belongings and have come across some absolutely prized possessions.  One thing that I keep noticing is how many handwritten cards and letters I've saved throughout the years.  Even … [Read more...]
