Budget Friendly FROZEN Birthday Party

FROZEN Birthday Party Pin

My littlest Princess turned 3 last month.  It's quite hard for me to even believe that I don't have a baby anymore and I almost don't have a toddler either!  Her past birthdays were eventful and party themes were fun, but they were my choices for her - turning 1 was a Beach Birthday Party Extravaganza and last year was a Yo Gabba Gabba Party.  This year, however, was all her idea... FROZEN! Just like the Halloween Elsa game, I can about bet that a LOT of you have been to FROZEN birthday parties over the past year.  You might even be planning your own!  So I decided to show our take of the FROZEN phenomenon in this budget-friendly party.  Now, we did do a few extras to make Moreaya's 3rd birthday extra sweet, but those extras are totally not necessary if your budget is a little smaller. If you know anything about my parties, you'll … [Read more...]

Sofia the First Slumber Party [+ Princess Scones Recipe]

Sofia the First Slumber Party JuniorCelebrates

Our Sofia the First Slumber Party and Princess Scones Recipe was inspired by this sponsored post collaboration.  This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #JuniorCelebrates #CollectiveBias My girls are just totally obsessed with Princesses.  I thought it might last a few months, but we're going on a full 2 years of Princess fascination and I see no end in sight - which makes me happy because it's a totally fun theme that I can incorporate into our every day life! For instance, Moreaya asks me every single day to wear her Sofia the First Princess Dress.  No kidding - every day I have to change her back into regular clothes to pick up Sophia from school because she's played "Princess" all morning long.  So when Moreaya and I had the opportunity to check out the Disney … [Read more...]

Disney’s FROZEN is On Repeat in Our House – How About Yours?

FROZEN Sisters

Somehow we ended up with 2 copies of FROZEN.  I pre-ordered one from Amazon.com and was sent another [for free to review].  Now I know why fate had it be that I ended up with two... because one of them is surely going to be worn out soon! Last year, around Thanksgiving, I got really really brave and decided to take my [then] 1.5 and 3 year old girls to the movies by myself.  I had heard such wonderful things about FROZEN and seriously couldn't take not seeing that cute snowman in the theaters.  So, we did it.  And guess what?  They sat through the whole thing.  That should tell you something - it was that good, even to them at such a young age. Guess what else? They continue to sit through this movie time after time after time after time after... ok, you get it.  We've watched this Blu-ray seriously more times than I can … [Read more...]

How the Combi Twin Cosmo Stroller Made Our Disney Trip a Breeze

Combi Sleeping

Did y'all know we went on a little trip recently?   No?!  Well, I'm quite sure you've probably seen me sharing photos on instagram, posts about our visit to SeaWorld, and well, lots of status updates about the amazing time we had at Disney World a couple of weeks ago.  And guess what?  I'm not done talking about it!  I hope that's ok! Seriously, y'all, if we had attempted to go to Disney with our double jogger OR our single stroller like I had decided to do before Combi sent us a Twin Cosmo for review, I would have had a much harder time.  Much harder.  Sure, we would have still had a great time, but honestly, this stroller made our trip a total breeze.  That's saying a lot for tackling Disney, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and more with TWO toddlers! When I pulled the Combi Twin Cosmo Stroller out of the box and saw it could do … [Read more...]

How I’m Sharing and Preserving our Magical Moments at Disney with Tweekaboo

photo 3

Our recent Disney trip was amazing.  AH-mazing.  I'm really hoping it wasn't a once in a lifetime type of trip because I'm already dying to go back.  We really just had the best time ever.  Honestly, I don't know who enjoyed it more - me or the girls! One thing that I know we have to do is talk about this trip a lot with the girls.  They are both really young - 3.5 and 2 - so I know it's going to be super hard for them to remember everything we got to experience.  I know that talking about our trip and looking at pictures will help preserve those memories even more. One of the ways that I'm preserving both the pictures AND the memories of our Disney trip is with the tweekaboo app! It turns out, that while we were at Disney, I used my iPhone to take more pictures than our camera.  It takes great pictures and is much more … [Read more...]

Fluffy Friday: Disney Edition

Since the fam and I are away having the best week ever in Orlando, FL - I thought I would make this week's Fluffy Friday a Mouse-inspired one! I am always in "Awe" of the talent of some of the Cloth Diaper WAHMs and these diapers are AWE-mazing! This beauty comes from Hey Dude Diapers.  I stumbled upon this review on the Adventures in Fluff blog and just couldn't pass up sharing the dynamic duo of Mickey and Donald with you! This lovely Hybrid AI2 One Size Diaper comes from the Tooshas Etsy Shop.  That pop of red and classic Mickey Mouse print is just too cute!  I had a little browse around the rest of her shop too - cute diapers for sure! This cute Princess print isn't from a WAHM, but instead on what's commonly referred to as a "China Cheapie".  For the price, one might could afford to switch their whole stash to Disney … [Read more...]

Top 10 Posts of 2013

It's that time of the year, the time when we start thinking about the year that lies ahead and reflecting on what the past year taught us.  I decided to look back at the blog this year, see what I liked, what I didn't and what direction SEBG should continue to head in the New Year. As I looked at the most popular posts of 2013, according to the number of views, I saw that you indeed prefer a certain type of posts... cloth diapers. I'm so excited to get back to the root of So Easy Being Green, go back to why I started in the first place, and re-examine my love of cloth diapers and all things that are easy and green. Top 10 Posts of 2013 1.  Cloth Diapers Inserts and Liners FAQs Apparently you do have a lot of Frequently Asked Questions about Cloth Diaper Inserts because this post is overwhelmingly the most viewed post on the … [Read more...]

Wish There Were More The Little Mermaid Movies? There Are!

I first saw The Little Mermaid when I was a young girl in the theater when it was first released!  So when I had the chance to take my girls to see it in a theater for the first time too, it was a very special day for all of us! I was thrilled to add the Blu ray The Little Mermaid to our Disney collection.  The girls and I have watched it often, especially with all the sick days we've had lately.  I thought that the original The Little Mermaid was all there was in the franchise {except wasn't there a Television show or am I imagining things?}. Wrong! There were 2 additional Ariel-centered movies made after the original.  The Little Mermaid II and Ariel's Beginning 2-Movie Collection.  And guess what?  They've both just been released from the Disney Vault and put onto Blu ray for the first time! I love that the movie is a … [Read more...]

Soaring to New Heights with Disney Planes {including Activity Sheets}

I absolutely love Disney movies.  As a child, I loved watching them.  As a teenager, I still loved them. And now, as an adult, I think I adore them even more.  They truly are the definition of timeless classics {really, could Snow White be any better?}. So, when a new Disney movie comes out, it's almost a guarantee that it'll make it's way into our home. Disney's new take on the Cars franchise, Planes actually soared right into our house! My family loved Cars.  I mean, loved it.  You see, we're a bit of a "car" family - we love antique cars, hot rods, car shows... so the car references in the movie weren't lost on all of us.  The girls love it because they love seeing their Papaw's car collection and could really relate.  I wasn't really sure how well the Planes would translate to us, but the underlying story shown … [Read more...]

Make Disney Holiday Movies a Family Tradition – Holiday Gift Idea

Just this past week, two wonderful Holiday-inspired Disney features were released on Blu-ray and I think they would make a perfect gift for a kiddo on your list... or maybe even an adult or two! I can't believe it's the 30th Anniversary of Disney's Mickey's Christmas Carol!  {That makes me feel a bit old!}  I remember watching this classic when I was younger and I was so excited to add it to my girl's Disney DVD and Blu-ray collection. They're both Mickey Mouse fans so to share this classic with them was so special.  We watched it while we were in the Smoky Mountains over the weekend and it was so magical because the girls were already seeing Christmas lights all over the town, so it really brought Christmas alive for them this season!  I'm excited because Christmas is absolutely my favorite Holiday and time of the year so I'm … [Read more...]
