How To Jump Start Your Child’s Digestive Health with Florastor Kids [+ giveaway!]

Jump Start Child's Health

I am part of the PTPA Brand Ambassador Program with Florastor and I received compensation as part of my affiliation with this group.  The opinions on this blog are my own. Both of my girls were amazingly healthy eaters when they were really little.  Sophia's favorite food was a green one - broccoli.  Any time we had it, she always asked for more.  Moreaya was the same way with peas.  Then something happened, the same thing that seems to happen to all toddlers - the color green and food just doesn't work well together any more and you struggle with getting them to eat anything healthy it seems. [I know I'm not alone here!] So, what do you do when picky eating actually becomes a problem?  Putting your child on a multivitamin is always a great first step, but there are other issues that can arise because of dietary neglect on the picky … [Read more...]

Rock the Lunch Box – Bento Box Style

Rock the Lunchbox Bento

This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own. One thing good about Back to School time means it's Back to Bento Box time too!  Last year I got into the bento box craze when I sent Sophia's lunch to preschool twice a week.  This year, however, her Pre-K this year doesn't require lunch time so she'll be eating at home every day.  Just because she'll be eating at home, doesn't mean we can't still Rock the Lunchbox! In fact, I sometimes find it harder to put together a great, nutritious and pretty looking lunch when the girls are at home.  I'm usually running around the house - cleaning, playing, and chasing two girls - so lunch time sneaks up on me and I'm trying to quickly throw random things together and that doesn't always turn out well!  So sticking with a routine of packing a lunch [even if it will … [Read more...]

The Ultimate Baby Bottle Guide

Adiri-UltimateBottleGuide-Web

This post covering The Ultimate Baby Bottle Guide has been sponsored.  All opinions are my own. I remember over 4 years ago when I was pregnant with Sophia and in stores registering for my Baby Shower.  To say I was overwhelmed with the choices in the baby aisles would be an extreme understatement.  I was shocked about the sheer number of baby gadgets and gear and had no clue what to do in the bottle and pacifier aisles. Who know there were so many types of baby bottles!? If you're a Mom or Dad, or a soon-to-be parent, you're not at all surprised by that statement, I'm sure.  I would wager a guess that you've been standing in one of those aisles, just like me, completely and totally overwhelmed with the choices. Sure - choices are good because we all want what's best for our baby, but the thing is - how do we know which baby … [Read more...]

Welcome to Sophia’s Cafe – a Review of the Step2 Best Chef’s Play Kitchen

Step2 Review Kitchen

I am a Step2 Ambassador and am partnering with Step2 for the following review. I received a product in exchange for my review and honest opinion. My girls got a lot of my hand-me-down toys.  Sure, they were vintage, but they just kind of lacked the technology and smoothness of modern day toys.  When I had the chance to upgrade the girls' Play Kitchen to the brand new Step2 Best Chef's Play Kitchen, I jumped at the chance.  Speaking of jumping - that's what the girls did too when the Play Kitchen box arrived at the door! Forget the idea of waiting on Daddy to come home and assemble the Play Kitchen - they wanted it right then and I totally don't blame them - I was excited to see it too!  The Best Chef's Kitchen came in 3 major pieces and was very easy to put together with a few screws [included].  While I was assembling the … [Read more...]

Natural Colored Cotton Clothing for Your Little One – Debest Baby

picture2

This post is brought to you courtesy of Debest Baby, who provided one of their adorable natural cotton onesies to Jamie of Momma Without a Clue  for review.  All opinions expressed are 100% Jamie's own. When a baby company goes above and beyond to keep our little ones healthy, they automatically earn credit in my book. That's why I was thrilled to be able to review a piece from their clothing line. You see, Debest uses naturally colored cotton to create beautiful clothes that will not only last for years, they're free from harmful toxins, bleaches, and dyes. For my baby girl, we received the "Blossoms In Bloom" short-sleeve bodysuit. This organic onesie is heavier than most of the other brands she's worn, but in a breathable kind of way. The natural cotton color is a gorgeous background for the little cherry blossom print, and the … [Read more...]

DIY Frozen Yogurt Pops [Summer Fun with Stonyfield]

Frozen Yogurt and Fruit Pops

This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. All opinions are my own. Summer is in full swing - it's hot and the girls are loving that they can cool down with cold treats.  The only problem with that is - they ask for cold treats all.the.time.  So, after seeing my blogger friend Ruth's post about making her own Fruit Ice Pops, I was inspired to put a Stonyfield twist and make our own Frozen Yogurt Pops!  That way, the girls could enjoy as many frozen treats as they wanted because I would know exactly what was in them - and they're healthy and delicious! I decided to make these super simple, but there are so many variations you could choose.  A fellow Stonyfield Yo-Getter actually made Peanut Butter and Jelly Popsicles that I'm dying to try!  For our Frozen Yogurt Pops, I stuck with 2 different kinds of pureed fruit - … [Read more...]

How to Throw a RAWRsome Dinosaur Birthday Party

RAWRsome Dinosaur Party

[tps_header] It's been about 2 months since Sophia turned 4 so it's about time I shared her fantastically RAWR-some Dinosaur Birthday Party with you, don't you think!? Sophia's been an independent thinker since she was 1.  No, really, she has.  As I was preparing for her 2nd Birthday Party, I decided on a Dora theme because she was completely in love with Dora at the time and in her little 1 year old voice she proclaimed she did not want a Dora Party, she wanted a Mickey Mouse Party.  Even at a ripe age of 24 months, I knew that if she walked into her Birthday Party and it wasn't Mickey, I would never hear the end of it.  So, Mickey Mouse she got. Then, last year she requested a Disney Princess theme so I took a fun, personalized spin and make it a Princess Tea Party. The week before her 3rd birthday she fell in love with … [Read more...]

VTech Safe & Sound: Perfect Video Monitor for Toddlers

VTech Video Monitor Review

I received a VTech® Safe & Sound® Pan and Tilt Video Monitor to facilitate this review.  All opinions expressed, including the opinion that this it is the perfect video monitor for toddlers, are my own. Do you have a Video Monitor? I bet if you don't you think "I'd love to have one, but I really don't need one."  And I bet if you do have one, you think "There's no way I could live without our video monitor - it's a must-have for parents."  I have been on both sides of that question.  We didn't have one when Sophia was a newborn, I felt like audio was enough and I just couldn't justify one with our budget when I kept convincing myself that audio was enough. Then I got our first video monitor and I figured out why people love them so much, but it still had it's drawbacks.  It had to be plugged in at all times and the screen was … [Read more...]
