actionbabycarriertoddlerreview

If you haven't noticed the chevron trend, well, you must be living under a rock.  It seems like chevron is popping up everywhere this Fall!  The print has been "in" for about 2 years now and you'll see the zig zag pattern in just about every product you encounter! You may have seen my review of the Pouch o' Pepper from Damsel in Defense... It seems that quite a few cloth diaper companies are adding chevron to their line-ups this Fall too! Charlie - The new Chevron Print from Rumparooz.  I even made Moreaya's Crib Bedding with a Chevron reversible print so she could be right on trend!   And our latest Chevron addition... Our Action Baby Carrier that we were sent to review!  First, let me tell you that Andrea, the lovely lady behind Action Baby Carriers, asked if I liked Chevron or Elephants.  I picked Chevron, of … [Read more...]

babyhawkfabbabycarrier

Although International Babywearing Week was last week, we're still talking baby carriers {you don't mind, right!?} because Fall Back into Babywearing is still going strong for another week or two.  One of the carriers that you can win is the carrier that I'm going to show you today {that I was sent free to review}... the Oh Mei! from BabyHawk! This carrier intrigued me at first glance.  Let me start off by telling you a little about BabyHawk and the three types of carriers they make: One child, plus two arms, plus one million things to do, equals me needing a baby carrier that not only matched my style but is functional and comfortable as well.   A mother's time is, perhaps, more valuable than anyone else's, and at BabyHawk our goal is to make your parenting experience easier.  Along with the original BabyHawk Mei Tai {a carrier … [Read more...]

8 Babywearing Accessories that You Should Know About

babywearingaccessories

It's International Babywearing Week and although carriers often are at the forefront of the babywearing conversations, today I'm sharing 8 accessories that you should definitely know about... including a few of my favorites! Some of the accessories have been around for awhile, so you probably know all about them, but some are new on the babywearing market and I'm telling you... they might be considered luxuries, but if you love to wear your child, you'll definitely want to add them to your stash! 8 Babywearing Accessories that You Should Know About 1.  Infant Insert Photo courtesy of Ergobaby.com. Introducing Bitybean – The Most Travel Friendly Baby Carrier I Own

bitybeanfacts

When Moreaya was a newborn, I wore her constantly.  Here I was, a SAHM with a new baby and a 19 month old that didn't like not sharing attention with her new baby sister.  Not only was I taking care of them all day, but still had to do clean, cook, and laundry - oh the laundry! And when we went out of the house there was no possible way I could have handled both of them, at those tender ages, without babywearing.  It was my lifesaver inside and outside of the house in those early months and continues to be! I didn't start babywearing Sophia until she was already walking.  She's always been a super independent child so she wasn't totally happy hanging out on back when she could be walking, getting into everything.  Moreaya, on the other hand, was worn from very early on and she still loves it to this day.  One of my favorite … [Read more...]

So, with that - I bring you my list of... 6 fabulous Baby Shower Gifts [for under $40] Why $40?  Well, I feel like it's a great, round number that I could see spending on a shower gift of a close family member or friend.  Plus, a couple of my items are MUST-haves and fit right under that number! 1.  Zen Swaddle from Nested Bean This is the product that actually inspired my list … [Read more...]

Babywearing in the Cold? Kowalli has you and baby Covered! #snugbug

Kowalli Baby Carrier Cover

I found the babywearing love with Moreaya.  I didn't get my first carrier, an ErgoBABY, until Sophia was already walking and she had already asserted herself as a very independent child, so she wasn't so keen about being strapped on Mama's back.  But I wore Moreaya at just a few weeks old.  My favorite way to wear her when she was so tiny was in a Boba Wrap.  Once she was a little bigger, we started using our Beco Gemini Carrier almost exclusively.  It's slim and trim and I always felt like I have her close and safe. Babywearing in east Tennessee was all fine and dandy this Spring and Fall, but now that it's turned c-o-l-d, it's not my favorite.  I don't have a jacket large enough to cover us both and I just feel like although I'm warmer with Moreaya being on … [Read more...]
