Meet The Fam.

Our Family Story

I was raised in a small town in Tennessee and have lived here my whole life.  I attended college in a larger town, but only about 2 hours away from home.  After graduating college with a degree in Human Development and Learning, I began to look for work, little did I know it would lead me back to my hometown.  I took over a successful childcare business that had been established for 20 years.  I loved working with the children, parents, and thriving in the business-aspects of the job.  I felt fulfilled.  I didn’t want children of my own, I had 40 everyday, didn’t need a husband… my life was full! That was until my best friend kept urging me to go on a date with her husband’s best friend.  We had went to high school together, known one another {from afar} for about 8 years, but had never really been friends.

We went on our first date, a week before Valentine’s Day 2008  and we hit it off.  We talked all the time… went on a date every other day… talked about getting engaged in April… got “officially” engaged in May {Mother’s Day!}… and got married in November 2008!

Although Rob’s love story is the same as mine {or it better be}, he grew up quite different.  He was born in the Philippines.  His parents moved to the U.S. when he was 5 years old, while he lived with his grandmother and brother.  After 5 years, his parents were established enough for their children to come to the States.  Rob has lived in Tennessee since he was 10 years old.

The best thing to come out of joining our lives together, other than finding my best friend in life, was our daughter.  Miss Sophia is the love of both of our lives.  She was born in May of 2010 and is growing everyday and learning new ways to amaze us, make us laugh, and cry.  I’m such a proud Mommy and feel like my life is complete now that Sophia has joined it.  I hope you’re ready to read much more about her and our lives together!

On the last day of April this year, we got another wonderful surprise… apparently our life wasn’t complete with just Sophia because…
We will soon be adding another little babe to our family and we couldn’t be happier!!!
