Kids Garden Activity: ReUse Yogurt Cups to Plant Organic Seeds

It’s Spring time and we’ve been spending every possible moment that we can outside during these last few weeks. The girls love it and it gives me a renewed sense of energy, especially after all the moving stress that’s been happening!

We’re in our new house and absolutely loving our surroundings but one thing we’re definitely missing is our container gardens this year.

Our new home has a wonderful yard but building our container gardens has been put on the back burner for a bit until we’re really settled in. But that doesn’t mean we have to skip on the Spring planting season, of course!

Besides outside arts and crafts, her next favorite thing to do in the world is to be outside planting [as long as she doesn’t get dirty, of course]!

Since this project was born out of a collaboration with our friends at Stonyfield, I just had to get creative on how we were going to get our seeds to sprout – since we’re not sowing them right into the container gardens this year.

We chose to use our YoBaby containers this year for a couple reasons – the first being that we have a ton of these cups because Moreaya and I still love the YoBaby yogurt and two because I needed something a little more sturdy to sit on our kitchen windowsill.
