Sprucing Up Outdoors This Spring with Dollar General

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

The birds are chirping, there are butterflies fluttering by my window, and I can see the buds of lilacs and tulips getting ready to burst open here in east Tennessee.  And other than wishing the pollen count was a bit lower, I couldn't be happier!

Spring brings with it a resurgence of life, an excitement for being outside, and definitely a need for planting beautiful flowers!  I just can't resist putting together a lovely, colorful pot of flowers on the table when I catch Spring Fever!

This year, I headed to my local Dollar General to do just that.  I already had a lovely purple Hyacinth that I wanted to enjoy the blooms inside before I planted it outside for it to come back year after year.  So I set out to find a lovely planter to make that happen!

I was surprised to quite a large selection of Lawn and Garden supplies at Dollar General.  They had 3 rows of beautiful lawn ornaments and garden tending supplies for me to choose from.  I ended up choosing a few extras while I was browsing – including a new pair of gardening gloves and a spade for planting.

I also bought the larger pot for a plant that was quickly outgrowing it's original container.  I loved both of the planters as they brought a lot of character for the plants that would live inside.

And since the girls are just as excited as I am about the upcoming gardening and planting season, I purchase a pink Kids' Gardening Set to put in their Easter Basket.  They'll love playing in the dirt right alongside me!

If you're looking to spruce up your landscaping or just looking for some Spring ornaments to get you excited about the warm, Spring days that lie ahead, be sure to check out your local Dollar General's Lawn and Garden section.  You can also find Dollar General on Facebook and on Twitter!

I love our Dollar General, they have a lot of fun items to pick from and I love that they are so economical and can be used for party favors, gifts for grandchildren, emergency cooking supplies, I am amazed at the number of new Dollar General stores that have been popping up around here lately, and I love to pick up my reading glasses from them, they are cheap but cute. I have bought a herb garden from our Dollar General and it is coming up with sprouts all over, can’t wait for them to get full size and be able to use them in our meals

  3. Great deals. I’m going to check them out. I can’t wait to get my garden started. I’m going to be getting my nephews to join in this year. I’m very excited!

Dollar General has great deals to spruce up Spring. I like planting my annuals every year and adding new bark, and putting out my wreaths. I like having hanging plants on my front porch! The colors for the Summer are awesome.
