  2. We try to use as many reusable products as we can. (unpaper towels, mama cloth, diapers, etc.) We recycle and use natural cleaners around the house.

    I help take care of our planet by using Norwex products, these allow you to only use a cloth and water to clean. I don’t use any harmful chemicals!

  14. We recycle, freecycle, reuse and repurpose all that we can. Freeboxing is huge in our town and we love it!

    I really don’t celebrate Earth Day, but I have been trying to reduce our carbon footprints by using less plastic bags and water bottles, I have glass water bottles, that I wash and reuse and they work well for us, I carry cloth canvas bags and try not to use the paper or plastic bags, I have started composting waste and lowering my house temperatures, with opening windows and the like when possible, nothing earth shattering, but little steps eventually wind up with big savings.

  19. Honestly, I don’t “celebrate” earth day on one specific designated day of the year. I choose instead to honor our Creator and his Creation every day of the year by gardening, recycling, not purchasing chemicals, and using un-renewable natural resources as little as possible, which includes always taking our cloth bags into a store when shopping.

  20. I’m a 3rd generation recycler. My late Grandmother reused everything possible at her home and taught us how to do the same!

  21. this crunchy mama does a lot, but one is we use cloth napkins, tissues, towels, wipes, even some family cloth. You won’t find tons of paper goods at my house.

    I celebrate earth day every day, by using cloth diapers, training the water off as I brush my teeth, recycling and many other things :)

    We do our best to make up for the large carbon footprint my diesel truck leaves. We recycle, only use reusable bags, replaced all our appliances and lightbulbs to be energy efficient, installed solar panels on our roof, shop local businesses, make our own cleaners and detergent to cut down on plastic jugs, buy in bulk, use and hand down clothing, and so much more! I try my hardest to teach my kids to pack-it-in-pack-it-out when camping and tread-lightly, too.

    I try to pick up trash when i see it. i hate dirty streets and houses too. turning off electricity when something isn’t in use is a major part of my day and turning off water instead of letting it run while i brush my teeth, etc.

    We try to use reusable products. We use wipes in the kitchen instead of napkins, family cloth in the bathroom, cloth diapers, vinegar & baking soda for most of the cleaning, and make most of our own laundry soap!
