Here we are starting off the 2nd month of the New Year and I’m talking New Years Resolutions. How many of you made them? I did not. I didn’t technically outwardly declare any type of resolution, but don’t we all inwardly strive to do a little better with the start of something new?
I definitely want to be healthier – eat better, exercise more. I want to be a better Mom – run around the yard with the girls instead of worrying about the weeds in the flowers. I want to live a little green-er, as we know small steps lead to big changes.
I have taken a lot of small steps over the past 3 years after founding So Easy Being Green. I guess you could say that you all drive me to live a green-er life for sure. So, what will I take on this year!?
Technology continues to improve, most all of my bills have gone to paperless, I can check my bank balances online, I can even order pizza through my phone, but you know one thing that I still have to do? Go to the bank to deposit those checks that aren’t direct deposited!
Although my girls loving going through the bank drive-thru lane [lollipops!], I dread it. I dread it so much that I often leave checks laying on my desk until I have at least a few to deposit or other business to do. This drives Rob crazy because when he sees a check, he wants it deposited right then. I tell him I’m trying to be more eco-friendly and do less driving, which is in a large part true, but I also just hate wasting time driving to the bank!
Now, don’t get me wrong, the tellers are always friendly. But I always think of the time that I’m wasting driving back and forth and the gas that I’m wasting [both in energy efficiency and money]! It just seems like there would be an easier way to deposit checks, since we rarely cash them.
Guess what?! There is! When Ingo Money contacted me and shared their Ingo Money App, I had an “Aha!” moment. I knew there had to be a better way!
Using your smartphone, you simply take a picture of a check within the Ingo Money app. You choose to either pay a small fee [1% or 4% depending on the check type] to upload your Visa Prepaid Card in minutes with your check amount OR wait 10 days for the check to clear and have no fees. It’s a super simple process that will save me time, money, and energy [for myself and my car]!
To help show me and all of you just how easy the Ingo Money app is to use, Ingo has created the Ingo Money in Minutes instant win game on Facebook! Every day from now until February 11th, you have a chance to win 1 of 4 $20 Gift Cards just by telling Ingo what you’ll do with all that extra time you have by using the Ingo Money app, since you no longer have to drive to the bank to deposit checks!
