I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting #MC for CVS/pharmacy MinuteClinic. I received promotional items as a thank you for participating.
With the New Year comes lots of Resolutions. Many of these resolutions revolve around Health. I know one of mine is to definitely start eating better, exercising more regularly, and just all around being more active. I know I’m not alone either.
So many of us make resolutions to lose weight in the New Year but often don’t know how or where to even start. Sure, eating healthy and being more active are somewhat common sense behaviors, but a little support goes a long way to make those resolutions stick. And you might just be surprised at the places where you can get that support!
I recently learned about MinuteClinic, a clinic located inside of CVS Pharmacies, with family nurse practitioners and physician assistants who provide quality care every day, with convenient evening and weekend hours. MinuteClinic accepts insurance and you don’t need an appointment to receive care!
Since I’m a SAHM, doctor appointments aren’t too hard to handle, but I often wonder how families handle appointments when both parents work. I get that doctors want to keep reasonable hours, but how can you go when you have to work as well!?
This is where MinuteClinic comes in – not only can they provide quality care for when a family member is sick, but they also have great programs that can help with those healthy new years resolutions we were talking about!
Although you may tend to think of them for after-hours care, MinuteClinic also has great programs for support. They have two great programs, in particular, that are perfect for those who want to get healthier in the New Year. The MinuteClinic Weight Loss Program is a personalized program that encourages healthy lifestyle changes and ongoing coaching under medical supervision.
The MinuteClinic Smoking Cessation Program is another fabulous offering from MinuteClinic. I can’t imagine trying to kick such a habit, but I know and studies show that doing so while being assisted by a medical provider gives the person a much greater chance at actually kicking the smoking habit. During this program, patients receive one-on-one consultations, goal programs, and on-going coaching to help support their goals and stop smoking for good.
Not only do you get the attention from medical professionals with these two programs, but you get support, the ability to use insurance, and convenient hours for everyone.
MinuteClinics are located within CVS Pharmacies in 27 states and the DC area. Check to see if there is one near you!
