Moreaya’s Yo Gabba Gabba 2nd Birthday Party

It is so incredibly hard to believe that my baby turned 2 this week.  My baby that weighed only 6 pounds when she was born.  My baby that you all helped me pick out her name.  My baby that may just be my last.

When Sophia was turning 2, she made it well known that she wanted a Mickey Mouse Birthday Party and there was no getting around it.  She declared it and it was so.  Moreaya, on the other hand, is my easy going, carefree baby.  She didn’t voice an opinion on what party she wanted, but she sure does voice how much she enjoys the show, Yo Gabba Gabba.

If you aren’t familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba, well, you’re not alone.  Most of the friends and family that came to her party had no clue about the show or where it even came from.  They all frantically searched for YGG merchandise for her for gifts, but didn’t find hardly any.  I was able to get a couple of things at Toys R Us, but most of the Yo Gabba Gabba things I found for her came from Amazon {free shipping with Prime}!

Moreaya Yo Gabba Gabba Party

When I originally decided on the Yo Gabba Gabba theme I was hesitant.  I wasn’t totally in love with the idea, but Moreaya was, so I did it.  It actually turned out to be a ton of fun and she was in awe of all the decorations, so it was definitely worth it in the end!

When I started researching the theme, I found that rainbow ideas were tied right in with the theme since each character is a different color.  I couldn’t imagine anything more special than a birthday tutu so I ordered a custom tutu from Tutus and Hairbows.  Moreaya was just tickled with her very own tutu and it totally made her super special on her special day!

Yo Gabba Gabba Food Table

I had a fun time coming up with all the Yo Gabba Gabba inspired party food.  You know there’ll be a whole post coming later showing everything I made and used.  I bought a couple of decorations from Party City online, but I mainly decorated with printables from EZ Party Kits.  They created a fabulous set of printables for us and totally set the mood for the party!

Party Favors

I even used the treat bag toppers from my EZ Party Kits printables to go on top of these cute bags of homemade play dough that I gave out as party favors!

Yo Gabba Gabba Big SisterThe food, games, decorations made this party totally fun – but the people that shared it with us made it special.  I am so thankful for all the friends and family that joined us for Moreaya’s 2nd Birthday Party!
