Kidoodle.TV – Educational and Entertainment Media for Kids

I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Kidoodle.TV. I received a promotional item and a free trial as a thank you for participating.

I’ve recently been on a major search for what tablet to purchase for my girls for Christmas this year.  Since our back-of-the-headrest DVD player gave out, I decided that investing in another tablet so they could each have one when traveling was the best option for us.  But which tablet was best?  I’ve had a look around at the major ones and ultimately decided on another iPad, but hate the lack of parental controls on most apps… except for one – Kidoodle.TV!

Watching Kidoodle TVThis app, along with my understanding of the Apple ios already, made up my mind to invest in another iPad for the girls.  I am loving Kidoodle.TV as much as my girls are!

First, let me tell you a bit about the app.  It’s simply an app, similar to others that offer entertaining and educational media for kids to watch, but this one is just for them!  Aimed at the 12 and under age group, Kidoodle.TV easily places each show in an appropriate age category which makes it even easier on parents to choose which shows are available to each of their children.

The parental controls are outstanding.  Outstanding.  I just had to say it twice.  I wish other apps would take note.

To set up the Kidoodle.TV app and service {which is completely free for the remaining month of December so you can try it out too}, I downloaded the app then logged on to Kidoodle.TV.  I set up an account, which included an email address to sign in with, password, then I set a 4 digit pass code to log in to the Parents Room.  From here, I’m able to set up my children’s profiles {up to 5}, naming them, giving them a customized color theme and avatar, AND setting which shows {either be selecting individually or by age appropriate} they can choose to view.

KidoodleTV Kid SelectionsThe parental controls don’t end there either.  Instead of just being able to pick up the iPad any time they want to watch Kidoodle.TV, I have to login, with the pass code only, and am able to set up the amount of time I wish for them to use the iPad.

Kidoodle TV Time Limits

This means the parent is always in control of what the child is watching and how long they watch on Kidoodle.TV!

Bo on the Go Kidoodle TVI’ve been very happy with the selection of shows offered on Kidoodle.TV, although according to Sophia there’s only one… Bo On the Go.  She is in LOVE with this show and I love that it keeps her active and moving while she’s enjoying a show on the iPad.

Not only can they enjoy Kidoodle.TV on the iPad, it’s available as an iPhone app, and you can even view on your home computer too!

Kidoodle TV GiveawayAs I mentioned earlier, the Kidoodle.TV service is free for the remainder of December.  The normal cost is just $4.99 a month, which we’ll be subscribing too definitely!  In addition to trying it out for free, everyone who signs up for a free trial is in the running to win 1 of 10 tablets and 1 year long subscriptions to Kidoodle.TV!

But hurry, the free trial and giveaways end on Dec. 31st!

Be sure to stay connected with Kidoodle.TV by following them on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date with the new details, shows, and giveaways too!

This sounds like a good app to have for the kids. They can watch educational TV, and the parents do not even have to worry that something will come on that is not appropriate. I have to tell my sister to get this Kidoodle TV.
