A Bento Box for the Whole Family

When I started seeing bento-type toddler lunches popping up on social media, I was immediately intrigued!  If I found them so pretty and interesting, I knew my girls {especially Sophia} would.

I was also very overwhelmed. I actually even posted on my personal Facebook page “Note to Self: Do not search “bento” on Pinterest.” Of course, what you’ll find is amazing, but totally not doable for the average Mom like myself.

Luckily, I quickly found out that you can do bento snacks and lunches for your kids {or yourself} with super easy little extras. And you don’t have to invest a ton of money into the hobby {although, you might find yourself buying a few more picks and cutters than you really need!}.

Today, I’m showing you a great bento box {that I was sent to review} that can truly serve the needs of your entire family!

The Bento Lunch Box from Laptop Lunches is perfectly sized for everyone.  Although at first glance it looks much bigger that the other bentos we have in our stash, once I started filling it up, I realized it will be perfect for Sophia’s pre-school lunches!

The key with smaller bento boxes is packing everything tight so it doesn’t shift around – but with the Bento Box from Laptop Lunches, there are compartments that help with that, including 3 inner containers with lids!

This means that on days that Sophia takes her lunch, I don’t have to pack the box to the brim, I can simply use the lids to help contain the food. Then, if I wanted to use the box, I can fit bigger portion sizes too.

I picked the Berry Blue color because, as you know, she’s quite the blue girl. She loved the color and gets so excited to check out what’s inside her “special lunch”.

The first day she used the Laptop Lunches’ Bento Box, I used our sandwich cutters and bento egg molds for the first time. They were both a big hit and super easy to use too!

And using the Bento Egg Molds are as easy as 1-2-3-4!  The girls LOVE them too!

Just boil your eggs. Then peel them and place them in the molds while they’re still really warm. You can put them in an ice bath if you want them to set faster, but I just stuck mine in the refrigerator for a few hours, then… VOILA!  Adorable hard boiled eggs!

The first thing Sophia grabbed out of her new Bento Box was her Bunny Egg!

Although the small bento boxes in our stash are super fun, I really am loving the larger Laptop Lunches box. It’s the perfect size for everyone to use – I love the separate containers with lids and the fact that they are dishwasher safe – BIG PLUS!  The boxes are contains NO lead, BPA (bisphenol A), phthalates, or PVC and you can move them around to fit anything you desire!

You’ll find 11 different colors and another style in the Laptop Lunches Bento Lunch Box on their website. The boxes retail for $23.99 each. While you’re there, be sure to check out all their other bento supplies too!
