Grilling, Garden, and Grapeseed Oil

There are two things my family is enjoying outside this summer in our backyard… our garden and our grill!

We purchased a new grill at the beginning of the season because we went all Summer without one last year and just knew we couldn’t do it again.

Grilling is both Rob and I’s favorite way to prepare foods any time of the year – but especially Summer. There’s less mess inside the house, less heating up the inside of the house, and food just tastes better to me when cooked over an open flame!

Some of our favorite foods to grill are Corn on the Cob {in Husks}, Hamburgers, Marinated Fruits, and Kabobs! Rob is really the grilling master. Although I do pretty good, I often tend to not season the food enough or cook too long – which sometimes leads to more dry meats and meals.

I’ve always been a bit afraid to add in much cooking oil – even Olive Oil – for fear of burning everything up!

We are already Pompeian Oil and Vinegar fans in this house… in fact, our pantry needs to be re-stocked soon…

And I was just introduced to the Pompeian Grapeseed Oil, in a timely fashion as July is National Grilling Month, and the fact that it’s perfect for grilling!

The Grapeseed Oil from Pompeian has one of the highest smoke points of all oils, making it the perfect all-natural tool for prepping your grill before cooking.

So, whether I brush the grill or the food, it seems like it’ll be my best bet for moist meals that don’t burn!

You better believe that the Jalapeno Peach Shrimp Skewers {pictured above} were put onto this week’s menu! Oh YUM! It’ll be super easy as we have jalapenos growing right in our garden…

So the only thing to pick up from the store is the shrimp and peaches!

That’s what I love about all 3 of the Hungry Girl and Pompeian-inspired recipes – they look deceptively difficult, but they’re really not! The ingredients are simple and so is the preparation! And cooking on the grill? Super easy and convenient for my family!

Be sure to follow me on instagram because you’ll get to see just how these turn out for dinner in a few days!
