Slap Dash Things

About Slap Dash Things:

Jenelle is 11 years old who, with the help of her mom, began Slap Dash Things to help keep her mind off of the bullying she have had to deal with in the past. (You can see Jenelle's Bullying Story on YouTube.) Making jewelry has become a positive outlet and a way for her to spend quality time together with her family and to support anti-bullying campaigns. Jenelle donates $1.00 from the sale of each piece of jewelry to EVERYONE MATTERS, an anti-bullying organization. (The organization changes to help support various anti-bullying organizations.) About the Jewelry: Slap Dash Things makes necklace, earrings, keychains and custom pieces from using upcycled materials. To help Jenelle and Slap Dash Things, you can send her your used gift cards or monetary donations (address can be located on her Facebook page).

  1. Oh gorgeous! I LOVE that guitar pick pendant; what a fun idea for a musician. Thanks for sharing!

  2. What a great outlet for creativity and frustration at only 11 years old! Very impressive.

  3. Wow! What a sensation at 11 years old.

  4. I’ve been following Jenelle’s story from her moms site. Its just heartbreaking how horrible kids can be to each other. And even worse that the school system and parents of the bullies won’t do anything to stop it. I’m so proud of Janelle and her desire to then something so bad and wrong into a positive by Stiving to help others. I love the neck lance you featured in this post. She really is quite talented.

  5. Thanks for sharing. I’m going to her Etsy site to check it out right now.
