Moreaya’s First Birthday Party

Last week, I shared a very special Birthday Post about Moreaya turning 1.  That night we had a small, impromptu party with miniature cupcakes and ice cream, grandparents, and a few presents.

Then on Saturday came her real Birthday Party.  We had a large First Birthday Party for Sophia – a Rock 'N Roll 1st Birthday Party, so we decided to do the same for Little Sis.  Since we were working with the middle of Winter, I decided to put a twist on it and throw a Beach Birthday Party!

Here are some fun pictures of the Party.  Keep an eye on the blog later in the week when I'll be showing more details of the Party and some tutorials too!

The Family at Beach Party

It's a Filipino Tradition to have food at every gathering.  Ok, maybe not tradition, but they love to eat – and everyone loves to eat their food!  My Brother-in-Law and his wife catered the party with Fried Rice, Panci, Lumpia {Egg Rolls}, and Filipino Barbecue on a Stick!
We served Milk Cartons, Capri Suns, and Water.

Beach Party Dessert Table

The Dessert Table featured the beautiful Birthday Cake made by a couple of friends of mine, Beach Ball Smash Cake, my Goldfish Marshmallow Pops, and some delicious homemade candies from my Sister-in-Law.

Tasha, the lady behind CutiePatootie Cakery, was a bit worried that Moreaya would be like her Big Sister.  You see, Sophia wouldn't even touch her Smash Cake {a cute, pink Musical Note to match the Rock 'n Roll theme}.  I assured her that Miss Moreaya wasn't shy and and she would dig right in.

I was right.

She also enjoyed my Goldfish Marshmallow Pops.

Moreaya Marshmallow Smile

It was so cute.  Her mouth was FULL of a marshmallow and when she smiled, it all came pouring out.

We struggled with Sophia's involvement in the Party.  She understood it was Moreaya's Party, but we didn't want to leave her out too much.  She was very excited to get to serve the guests Ice Cream out of her Ice Cream Shop!

After the sweets were finished, Moreaya tackled opening presents.  Big Sister helped and all Moreaya did was…

Forget Presents, I want more Cake!

Try to find the rest of her Cake!

Custom Birthday Shirt and Headband were purchased from the BowDacious Baby Etc. Etsy Shop.

  3. Love the idea of doing a beach party in the middle of winter! Since one of my girls is a Summer baby, maybe I could think about a winter wonderland theme for one year? That would be so cute and so unexpected! :-)
