After seeing some of the fun Elf on the Shelf ideas floating around Pinterest and blogs last year, I decided that it was a new tradition that I wanted to start with my family. Sophia is still a little young – but she gets the concept that our "Criddle" flies to Santa every night and gives a report on her behavior.
It's actually quite entertaining because she understands so much that if she's acting up or throwing a tantrum, I simply look up at Criddle {if she happens to be in the same room} and Sophia immediately stops. I know it will only work for a short time, but hey, I'm using it while it does!
But Criddle doesn't only watch the naughty behavior – she reports the nice acts of kindness as well! One day this past week, Sophia was extra good so she was surprised with Criddle bringing her a special something from Santa himself – even before Christmas! Sophia loves brushing her teeth – thank goodness we have that one down pat, so getting this special Holiday Pack with Dora on it made the gift from Criddle even more special.
When I heard about the new Colgate Holiday Packs, I knew they would make a great stocking stuffer – so I went on a Shopping Trip to pick one up. I couldn't actually find them at my local Walmart, so when we were out of town we went to a larger store. I searched in both the Toothpaste/Toothbrush Aisle and the Christmas Section. I found the Dora and Spongebob Packs right where they belong – in the Holiday Section! They really are the perfect size to fit into a stocking and come with both an Electric Toothbrush AND a pack of toothpaste!

Sophia is still learning to use regular toothpaste – but this was just a perfect gift for her. She's been so excited about Criddle and I wanted to make sure that she knew Criddle wasn't just about "tattling" on her bad behavior. She's a toddler that needs good feedback throughout the day, so getting a special treat sent to her straight from the Big Man made the gift even more special!
The Colgate Holiday Gift Packs would make a great stocking stuffer – or special gift from your special Elf too!

Some of the ideas that parents come up with for the elf are soooo cute! This one is such a neat idea. I’ll have to remember it for when my son gets older =)
