Giving This Holiday Season with Unilever #BetterTogether

There's just something about the Holiday Season that makes people a little more self-less.  Some might argue that Black Friday proves that point wrong, but let's skip over that one!  But it does seem like people want to give – this time of the year you see lots of Toy Drives, Secret Santa Trees, Food Drives, and Coat Collections.  Maybe it's the coziness of our warm homes, the full dinner tables at our Holiday Dinners, and the sweet laughter of our children that warms hearts to share with others.

Whatever it is, I'm so glad that people do look for ways to support others that may need a bit of help in these winter-y months.  The great thing about the Season is there really are lots of great ways to pay it forward, even if you're not actively seeking them out.  Unilever is a company that has inspired me – they've inspired me to live a more sustainable life with my family, to help others, and they even inspired this blog post.

Who is Unilever?

If you're like me, that's what you're thinking right about now.  Even if you haven't heard of the company, you're bound to have many of their brands in your cupboards and cabinets at home.  Brands like…

and those are just a few of many!

Unilever has a sustainable living goal for their company, brands, and consumers and it's simple – they're making life better together with their consumers and inspiring us – me and you – to make small changes to make a big impact.  Hmmm – now I know I've said that before!  I know that's the key to making our World a better place.  It's the small steps that make our goal seem attainable and make us more apt to give and serve when we see change happening in our life and the lives of others!

That's exactly why I want to support this company and the brands they produce.  I want to show my support of the Sustainable Living Plan put in place by Unilever and even more so their Cross Off Hunger initiative!

Unilever is committed to donating more than two million meals to families in need with Feeding America and every item on your shopping list counts. Show your support by adding Unilever brands to your cart next time you shop. Together we can help to Cross Off Hunger.

I recently went on a "fill up the pantry" shopping trip and purchased some of our favorite Unilever brands.  I can't wait to show you what we're doing with some of the items that we bought!  I'll be sharing all of that next week!

Our World will definitely be a better place, if we're helping one another, making it #BetterTogether.

Be sure to check out the Making Life Better website and the Cross Off Hunger Initiative and test your Hunger IQ, as well as learn the Top 10 Items that Food Banks really need – you might be surprised!  You can also connect with Unilever through Making Life Better on Facebook and Twitter to learn more about their brands and their sustainable living goals.
