Isn't this vintage headboard lovely!?
Would you believe it's a vinyl sticker?
If you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I have a board dedicated to "for our bed". I've been wanting a headboard for, well, four years now. When Rob and I got married, my cousin gave us her King sized bed. They had just purchased a new one and I was ecstatic to get a King size! It was only the frame and a mattress, but it worked for us! Last year with Christmas money from our parents, we were finally able to upgrade our mattress but we were still lacking a headboard.
When the sweet folks behind Walls Need Love contacted me about trying out their vinyl wall stickers, I said sure, of course. I love vinyl stickers and have quite a few in the girls room to help decorate with a theme. When I started searching for which stickers to pick out, I was a bit stumped. There are so many choices! That's a good thing, though. If you want Quotes, Trees, personalized Prints, or even Fabric Wall Paper {all on removable stickers} – you're bound to find what you want at Walls Need Love.
Along with that, Walls Need Love also succeeds with me, as their products are environmentally safe and 1% of all of sales are donated to plant trees with soundforest.org.
I chose to get something for everyone. Sophia is quite obsessed with her cloud b Twilight Sea Turtle, so I found a cute turtle vinyl sticker and designed it to match her room perfectly. That's one of the great things about this site is the color/design choices for your stickers – I chose Pink to match her room and Blue to make her happy!
My package arrived with instructions on how to place the stickers, but I didn't really need them. It was super easy to apply them to the wall. Moreaya's decor follows a Butterfly and Dragonfly theme, so I went with a cute set of dragonflies.
The pack came with 4 dragonflies {and their line of flight}, so I placed them around the room in different areas. I was a bit worried about the small dashes transferring to the wall easily, but they did just that.
Lastly – my headboard – my lovely headboard. When I was browsing the Walls Need Love site and saw those headboard-less beds, I thought – Could I? I showed them to Rob, who immediately said "I don't like it." But I decided to make the choice on my own. I was ready for a headboard since it looked like a diy version was WAY too far in the future. I wanted to be sure and not mess it up, since it was a larger sticker, I definitely needed help. Guess who got to do it!?
That's probably why he didn't want it – because he would have to work. Ha! But it turned out, it took us about 15 minutes, maybe less, to get it on the wall. We were both surprised at how fast and easy it rolled off. I have no doubt that a real headboard would have cost a lot more, took much more effort to bring home, AND took more time to assemble. I'm super happy with my new headboard and couldn't love Walls Need Love more!
Buy It: The vinyl wall stickers at Walls Need Love range in price depending on the size, detail, and other factors. The items that I purchased were the Tiny Turtle {$18}, Dragonflies {$15}, and the King Size Vintage Headboard {$65 – Twin Size starts at $35}.

That is so cool! I would have never guessed that is a sticker! Beautiful!
I did not realize the headboard was a vinyl sticker at all when I first saw the picture!! That is really pretty and a creative solution! We do not have a headboard either, very interesting.

What a neat idea. We don’t currently have a headboard and I would’ve never thought to use a vinyl sticker. It’s a great option though. Not sure my hubby would want to go for it either but we’ll see. lol

Now that headboard is super cool! Glancing at the picture before reading I thought it was a real one and so pretty. It’s pretty even though its a sticker and I guess is what I’m saying is it looks real and is very pretty.
That’s a creative solution to the headboard issue! We don’t really USE our headboard anyway. I recently just got some new vinyl stickers to decorate the nursery. I really love em!
