Mama’s Need Pampering Too – Pampering Party with NIVEA #NIVEAmoments

I had no clue being a Mama would be so, well, busy.  I had dreams of being a SAHM that could go every couple of weeks and have a nice spa pedicure, lunches at the park, and afternoon coffee dates with other SAHM friends.  Haha.  In my dreams is exactly where those ideas have stayed too!  There is not enough time in the day for all of those things – between changing and washing diapers, preparing lunches and snacks, and fighting over nap times and bath times everyday – there's no time {or money left in the budget}.  So I get creative!

At Home Spa Party NIVEA

I decided to have my own at home spa!  I wanted to invite a few other friends and family, especially other Mamas to come and put their feet up for at least a few minutes and pamper themselves too.  We deserve it!  When I told Rob about my idea, the sweet hubby that he is, said he wanted to be pampered too.  I told him it was a deal as long as he watched the girls while I pampered myself then he could have a turn!

I started thinking of ideas for our Pampering Party.  I wanted it to be simple and fun for all of us.  I'll be the first to admit that sometimes throwing a Party makes your life even more stressful and when the party is all about relieving stress, that just didn't make sense.  So, simple it would be.  The family already had a Sam's Club trip planned since the girls were feeling better, so we headed out of town.

While browsing the Health and Beauty Department at Sam's Club, I saw a great double package of NIVEA Lotion.  I thought it would be a perfect compliment to the Spa Party and the fact that it contained a small Hand Lotion sold it for me.  I love extras and with the dry, winter weather coming I'm always in need of lotion, so it would be a perfect diaper bag product.

I've shared my love for Sam's before – I love the prices and products that I can find and we all love the Tastings!  Luckily we came on the right day because the Bakery was sharing some of their great pies for the upcoming Holidays.  Rob, Sophia, and I all tried a different one – Apple, Pumpkin, and Pecan Pie!  After that sample, we decided we were definitely coming back for our Thanksgiving dessert.

I picked up a few other things for the Pampering Party while we were shopping, which you can see in my Google+ Story.  After our shopping trip was over, we headed to a special place to celebrate the girls finally winning the battle over that awful virus!  Sophia had been asking to visit Chuck E Cheese for a few weeks and even Moreaya was able to get in on the fun this time.

Chuck E Cheese Trip

After a trip to Chuck E Cheese, I think every Mom deserves a bit of pampering… am I right!?

A few days later it was time for our Pampering Party!  I invited a few friends and some of the best Mamas I know, that definitely deserve some pampering… including MY Mama!

I set up a tray of Baklava Varieties {I would loved to have claimed that these were homemade, but the beauties came straight from Sam's Club too} and cups to enjoy some Keurig goodness.  Half the fun of pampering is the yummy treats!

For the pampering part of the party, I had a container of a Water/Epsom Salt combo to soak our feet in.  Epsom Salt works wonders on ridding your body of toxins as well as making your skin softer.

Epsom Salt Foot Soak

After the soak, we lathered with the NIVEA Lotion.  The fragrance is light and it's not greasy at all, so it was a great way to finish the soak.  We also soaked our hands, in a different tub of course, and used the same NIVEA Lotion on them as well.  I had nail polish ready so if anyone wanted a fresh coat they could, but everyone was too busy eating the yummy treats to worry about it!

Some simple Pampering Products like Epsom Salt and NIVEA Lotion, close family and friends, and delicious pastries made a perfect at-home Spa Pampering Party for us Mamas.  Even better – throwing a party like this made no extra stress on me and I got to enjoy it too!  And even though their Daddy was supposed to be entertaining them, Sophia thought she could use some Pampering too.

  1. I absolutely love NIVEA products. They are bargained price but work even better (in my experience) than pricier brands!

  2. I’m with you, Mama! I thought I knew what to expect from motherhood but I learned quickly how much more is involved! Although motherhood alone is enough of an excuse to host a pampering party, I think the added trip to Chuck E Cheese solidly removes any question :) Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
