The Cure-All? Mama’s Kisses and BAND-AIDs #HealthyValue

If you have children, you probably understand that title, right?  When Sophia gets a "boo boo" – no matter how bad it may be, it always seems like there is a cure-all… kisses from me and a BAND-AID!  Luckily, we've not experienced any really serious wounds yet {knockingonwoodasitype}, but so far my cure-all is working!  It actually seems to work even when you can't see the tiniest of scrapes on her skin too!

Recently we were in need of re-stocking our First Aid Kits around the house, so I added BAND-AIDs to my To Buy List and instantly knew that we would be purchasing them at Sam's Club on our next monthly visit.  The only down side to shopping at Sam's Club is that the nearest one is about an hour away from us – which is why we usually just do a monthly or bi-monthly trip.  If we had one closer, I'd probably do our everyday grocery shopping there too because of the great deals!

One lovely weekend the whole family set off for our monthly shopping trip.  If you were to ever see me in public shopping with the girls {alone or even when we're altogether as a family}, you'll almost always see this lovely lady riding along on my back.  Moreaya is happier there and I am too!  It keeps me hands-free for shopping, which is important when I might need to wrangle the toddler in the store!

One of my favorite sections at Sam's Club {ok, I have a lot of favorite sections…} but the first I usually peruse is the Health and Beauty section.  You can get great deals on everyday items like Shampoo, Toothpaste, and Soap – and I got a great deal on the BAND-AIDs that were on my list!  For under $10, I got 180 QuiltVent bandages – with the bonus of some Winnie the Pooh BAND-AIDs!  Those will definitely make the cure-all even better, right!?

And even though the girls might not realize it, the QuiltVent will too.  I learned that the QuiltVent technology creates air channels so that breathability is enhanced in these adhesive bandages.  It's so much healthier and makes wounds heal faster if they're covered – so these bandages seem to be the best of both worlds!

While we were shopping at Sam's Club on this lovely October day, I was so happy to see so much PINK Support from brands.  To view my entire shopping trip and to see all my cool finds, you can view my Google+ Story.

Once I got home, I rounded up all of our First Aid Kits.  We have 1 large one that we keep in the house and a couple of small ones {one that stays in the diaper bag and another that stays in the car} that needed to be refilled.

Even after all that refilling, there were still plenty of BAND-AIDs left, so I went around the house stashing them in places that I thought might be useful.  A couple in a kitchen drawer beside the silverware tray, a few in my wristlet, and a even some in the girls' bathroom that would be quickly accessible.

And after stashing them around the house, wouldn't you know that Sophia just needed one for her new "boo boo".  What did it matter that I couldn't actually see the wound, she said that Winnie the Pooh and a kiss from Mama would make it all better…

so I obliged.

  6. Band-Aids are definitely a staple in my home. Fortunately, my daughter doesn’t get hurt too often, but even little minor scrapes require one in order to stop the tears! LOL!
