Looking to Lose Weight? Shaklee’s Cinch Program May Be Your Answer.

I've been working towards a weight loss goal for the past 7 weeks and seemed to have hit a bit of a plateau.  Trying to lose weight isn't my only goal, I've been trying to live a healthier lifestyle and make better meal and snack choices as well, but I'm at a standstill.  A plateau in not only the weight loss itself, but in motivation.  It's very silly – I've done so well {9 lbs out of the goal of 20} losing, but I can't seem to be able to hit that 10 mark so I've been struggling. I've been looking at outside sources, since my inner motivation has taken a bit of a kick.  I had been seeing Shaklee's Cinch program popping up everywhere, so I thought it's an obvious choice to try since I'm such a firm believer in the Shaklee products I've tried {love their cleaners and don't want to use anything else ever again}! My 3 Day Box contained:

  • 4 Cinch Shakes
  • 2 Meal-in-a-Bars
  • 3 Cinch Snack Bars
  • 6 Pomegranate Energy Tea Mix
  • 9 Cinch 3-in-1 Boost

I had the opportunity to try out the Cinch program, in its entirety, for 3 whole days.  Of course, I didn't see dramatic results in 3 days.  To be honest, I didn't see any results, but I actually count that as a good thing.  Let me tell you why – I have never done a weight loss program before so I was a bit worried at how I would enjoy the food.  I also worried about my energy level from not eating actual meals {for breakfast and lunch}, and how it might affect my mood. I acted totally normal.  I felt full after I drank a Cinch Shake or at a Meal Bar and I never felt like I had a dip in my energy levels.  So, for me, the program seems like it would really work.  Obviously by adding in exercise and eating a healthy meal at dinner, you would definitely be burning more calories than you're taking in which = weight loss!

Shaklee's Cinch Weight Loss Program

The Cinch program follows a simple schedule – Breakfast {Shake or Meal Bar}, Lunch {Shake or Meal Bar}, a Snack Bar if you need a snack throughout the day and the Pomegranate Energy Tea Mix if you need a pick-me-up throughout the day.  You take a 3-in-Booster with all 3 meals.  Dinner {Healthy Dinner}! The great thing about the Cinch program is that it is powered by Leucine, which will:  Keep the muscle you have and Burn the fat you don't need! You may have heard about the amazing weight loss story of Jacqui McCoy, that was shared on the ABC Show Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition.  She didn't actually use the Cinch products, because that was against the rules, but she is a firm belie ver of other Shaklee products that helped her obtain her goal!

My Cinch Favorites

I found that I really liked having the Shake for breakfast.  It was filling enough that I wouldn't get hungry until lunch time and I enjoyed the variety of flavors, but Chocolate was definitely my favorite!  The consistency of the shake took me a couple to get used to it, because it's not like a milkshake, but it's enjoyable and a nice way to start off the day. The Meal-in-a-Bar was fantastic.  It made for a great lunch and really tasted well.  I found myself drinking a lot of water during these 3 days – not sure if I was making a conscious effort or if the products made me feel like I needed too.  I also like that these products are so travel-friendly.  Just because you're going to be away from the house doesn't mean you can't stick with the program.  If you don't have access to your Soy Milk to mix your shake, I could simply choose the Meal-in-a-Bar for that meal. My favorite Cinch product out of them all is definitely the Cinch Snack Bars!  How could you not love a Snack Bar that tastes good, has so much fiber and protein and only 120-130 calories!  I think even if you didn't do the whole program, simply making small choices, such as a Cinch Snack Bar instead of a pack of chips or cookies, would show a significant difference down the road.

  31. Jemima Puddleduck says:

These products are completely new to me. Do any of them contain artificial sweeteners? I did look around, and I don’t think I see anything indicating that they do, but I’m super paranoid about them, so I wouldn’t mind getting confirmation on that :)

    • Jemima, absolutely NOT. Shaklee only uses the purest most potent ingredients for ALL of their products. No artificial sweeteners, colors, preservatives. Feel free to message me for more info. PS…good for you for being paranoid about such things :)

  32. Do you think this would be a good product for helping to lose those last few pounds? Or is it more for major weightloss goals?

    • Kari, these are great products for losing the last few pounds. That’s what I used them for to lose the last few baby weight lbs. I continue to use them to maintain my current weight while making sure I get the nutrition I need.

  33. Can I tell you just how much i LOVE the idea that this program includes hot tea. I am such a tea fan and when I get the urge to eat (when I know I am not hungry) I drink tea!

  35. Cindy Merrill says:

I have a friend who may be interested in these products- my question is, are the Shaklee’s products reccomended for folks with type 2 diabetes?

    • Good question – I’m sure Kristina Y could answer this question best!

    • Cindy, the Cinch Inch loss plan is not only safe for type 2 diabetes, but many people have been able to control their diabetes and get off of many of their meds Cinch and other Shaklee supplements. The Cinch 3:1 Boost has glucose regulation complex in it which helps stabilize blood sugar naturally. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. You can hit the “contact me” button on my website.

Shakes and boost would be good for me.

  38. I think I would like the Cinch bars best because they’d be better than LUNA or LARA bars for losing weight and keep me feeling satisfied! Just hope they taste good too!

  39. Stephanie Hungerford says:

Does the program work if you do not use the energy Tea? For religious reasons I can not drink the energy tea?

    • Thanks for your question, Stephanie! I’m sure, Kristina Y. could answer your question better {she’s my Shaklee contact}, but it’s my understanding that the Tea is simply a “pick-me-up” if you find yourself needing some extra energy throughout the day, instead of just reaching for water. It’s simply a substitute for drinks that might contain more sugar. The program is meant to work together, but you can definitely just pick and choose the parts that work best for you individually!

Let me know if you have any other questions!
Lindsey recently posted…Fluffy Friday: Cloth Diaper Giveaways! My Profile

    • That’s a great questions Stephanie. Lindsey is correct. It is a little pick-me-up for that mid afternoon slump when you might be tempted to reach for something that is not good. You can substitute it for a piece of fruit, another snack bar, or another low-cal beverage (without artificial sweeteners) of your choice. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

  40. Jordan D says:

I think the shake mix would be best for me. Easy to grab on the go and it wouldn’t melt in my car like a bar would lol

    • Jordon, I totally keep bars in my car. They get hot, but haven’t melted. I do believe me and my toddler would starve if I didn’t keep little snack bar stashes strategically placed :)

  41. The shakes look great but I definitely want to try the chocolate snack bars!
