I was. I had a lovely Pottery Barn diaper bag for Sophia that I got at my Baby Shower, but it just wasn’t cutting it for one child and once Moreaya came along, there was no way I could stuff all the diapers and changes of clothes {and all the other stuff that you need on a daily basis} for two kids!
So, when I saw a friend was using a Thirty-One Organizing Utility Tote for her diaper bag and had a ton of room {compared to my skinny, tall bag} for cloth diapers, bottles, and clothes… I definitely had to try one out! I purchased the adorable Awesome Blossom print from a friend’s party and have been completely happy with the amount of junk baby stuff I can stuff into it!
In the above, I have a changing pad, 3 cloth diapers, a wet/dry bag, 2 changes of clothes, First Aid Kit, 1 juice cup, my water bottle, and toys {including Sophie}… and probably some more in the bottom! I love this bag and am definitely thinking of getting a second one soon! It has 5 pockets on the outside, which I use for bottles and sippy cups, and 2 mesh pockets on the side. Those could also hold bottles, but I put toys and things that Sophia can reach easily.
It’s a great diaper bag for everyday use because it’s wide and spacious and easy to find anything. But, if we’re going to be out of town for an entire day, or even a couple of days, I always like to keep my cloth diapers in one place and refill my diaper bag as needed. My new online Thirty-One consultant, Beth, sent me a Large Utility Tote to review, which I thought would be perfect for this purpose!
This shows you JUST how spacious this tote is! That’s 5 cloth diapers, 1 swim diaper and 1 wet/dry bag and I could easily fit probably 15 more cloth diapers in there and still have room for more! That’s only 1 level and another level of cloth diapers would easily fit.
Another friend of mine had a Large Utility Tote from Thirty-One that she took down to the beach with her on our vacation last year, and she takes it when we go to our local water park. I’m always jealous of just how much she can fit in there {just for her} and always think it would be perfect for a day at the pool for me and the girls. Check this out…
That’s 2 full size adult beach towels, Sophia’s Ahmelie Hooded Towel, 2 cloth diapers, 1 swim diaper, wet/dry bag, 3 changes of kids clothes, and 1 change of clothes for me, and still a ton of room for bottles/cups and snacks!
The Large Utility Tote is collapsible, so it’s a perfect space saver and holds a ton! The straps are long enough that I can comfortably carry it on my shoulder, even while carrying Moreaya. It seems to be really good quality, both of my Thirty-One totes do, and I love that they are a nylon material that is super easy to wipe off and doesn’t matter if it gets wet!
