Moreaya had her first taste of bananas and pre-packaged baby food all at the same time! I've actually been making all of her baby food {more on that in a later post} and she's been loving it! I had attempted this with Sophia but found it overwhelming, which I'm not sure why because it's super easy. I'm pretty upset and have been for a over a week about a controversy that has came to light via Facebook. I've been a fan {and friend} of Charlotte's from Red Charlotte for over a year now! I was actually the first blogger to ever review her Red Charlotte Stuff Sack and Sucking Pads. Since then we've emailed one another often and I feel like she's a genuine online bloggy friend. Any day is a Great Day to Be MY Dog! #iLoveMyK9

I read a quote once that I didn't understand until I had children. It went something like, "Your dog/cat is your baby before you have children. Once you have children, your dog/cat becomes a pet". This has happened in our house. I have a cat that's been a part of my family for 11 years and before Sophia was born, she was my baby... the one he greeted me everyday when I returned from work. Once I had Sophia and especially with Moreaya as well, she's a cat again. She doesn't get quite the attention she used to, but she's fine with it... she's a cat after all - she tends to like being ignored. Someone who doesn't quite fit that mold is our Yorkshire Terrier, Smokey! He doesn't seem to think that he should become "just a pet" just because we have two girls to take up most of our time now! Potty Training Continued

Although Sophia is technically day potty trained, I still say that we are in the stages of Potty Training. Why? Because she's still very young - turning 2 in just 6 days!!! She still has some accidents, although they are usually just small because she tries to "hold it" and wait until the last possible minute to make a dash for the bathroom. I also use disposable pull-ups on her when we go on longer day trips - when we're going to be in the car for over an hour. She is still not night trained or nap trained, but I'm not pushing it because she isn't ready at all. We tried a variety of cloth training pants and although they worked great for around the house, for small accidents - they do not work for us outside of the house. the real meaning of So Easy Being Green.

This blog post has been in my head for awhile now but I just hadn't got the chance to sit down and read it. It's been weighing even heavier on me lately and today I am forcing myself to take a break from party decorations while both the girls are napping and write it. When I started this blog, it was a play on words. My original title was Not So Easy Being Green - a play on Kermit the Frog's old saying.
