When I began to think about using cloth diapers on Sophia, before she was even born, I set to the internet to research. I was a bit overwhelmed with just how much information is out there on the topic of modern cloth diapers. Of course, it’s always a good problem to have a lot of information, but it can also be very daunting.
It would have been so nice to have a book, written by a leading expert in the cloth diaper field, full of information on cloth diapers from the different types of cloth diapers to how to wash them. Well, lucky for new cloth diaper users… there is! Changing Diapers by Kelly Wels is a fantastically written book that gets down to the nitty gritty and dirty details of modern cloth diapering – and let’s you know that using cloth diapers is in fact, not dirty at all!
Kelly Wels is a leading cloth diaper expert and advocate who has a passion for helping parents make informed decisions when it comes to how they diaper their babies.
Her mission is to share her love for cloth diapers and advocate for diapering change. She says she believes that through education and knowledge, parents can be empowered to make more positive diapering choices. Kelly also is a green living promoter and social media marketer.
Kelly was previously known by her peers as the founder and owner of DiaperShops.com and KellysCloset.com, two popular online cloth diapering stores. In the summer of 2010, Kelly decided to turn her business over to new owners and pursue her advocacy passion full-time, without dealing with the day-to-day pressures of running a multi-million dollar business.
I had the chance to read the book in an online version and really liked it. It was a fast and easy read and I learned some things even though I’ve been cloth diapering for almost 2 years now!
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is on the fence about using cloth diapers or for those who are new to the subject. I also think it would be a fabulous Baby Shower gift for your friends and family, who may not even be considering using cloth diapers, but just might after reading this fun book!

I’ve never read the book, but I think it would really help me learn more about cloth diapers, which ones I should choose for my daughters, and how to wash them effectively!
I haven’t read the book myself yet. I’d like to give one to a friend as a baby shower gift. I’ve tried to explain using cloth diapers to her but she just doesn’t seem to be on board. Maybe this book would help!
I have read it and I also give it to a friend of mine when I found out she was expecting. She was interested in cloth diapers but didn’t know where to start. It’s a perfect book to introduce someone to the world of cloth and it also becomes a reference that you can always go back to. The photos are adorable too!
I haven’t read it yet. I would love to read a copy and then give it to my sister.
I haven’t read it but I would love too. It would probably help me perfect my wash routine.
I’ve been giving this book out to friends who are TTC or are now expecting. This book is such a great resource for not only learning about different types of diapers, but hearing the stories from other parents in the book to get other perspectives on issues.

We have been using cloth diapers for just about 7 months and we still have alot to learn. This book would be a great resource especially when answering questions from those family members that just don’t get why we would rather not use disposables.
I haven’t read the book yet, but I’m thinking maybe I should.
I have some skeptical friends when it comes to cloth diapering. I am planning on getting this book to help us with our experience and to lend out to those pregnant friends so they can get a grasp on how simple the process is, not to mention safer for baby and the environment. I’ve learned so much reading blogs over the past few weeks that I look forward to even more info!
I haven’t read it, but after seeing reviews of it, I definitely want to. I think it is great for folks just starting to learn about cloth diapering (I was SO overwhelmed at first) and I’d like to have it on hand for reference for the tips/tricks (washing, etc.).
I haven’t read the book myself, but I really think that it would be essential for someone else less internet connected than I am, that might be (or may not have) considering cloth diapering. If I was home, it might be something I got for my sister. She’s totally disconnected from the internet and has no clue. I think it would pique her interest enough to want to start CDing without me being all overbearing with her LOL
I love this book! It answers all the questions someone new to cding would have and it’s a great book to reference back to when you have questions!
i got this book when i first decided i wanted to cloth diaper, it was very helpful with all the basic questions i had about it.I would reccommed it to someone who is interested in cloth, it gives you facts and resources to help anyone out.

At this point, I’m not sure how much I’d learn personally from the book, although it would be ignorant of me to say I know it all… I’d love to have the book as a reference and as an aid to help any friends/family who are considering cloth!

I borrowed this book from a friend. I loved that it was easy to comprehend. Before reading it, I had decided not to even try prefolds and covers because they seemed like a hassle. But the book taught me that they’re really not that difficult to learn to use. I plan on using them with my newborn due next month.
I haven’t read the book yet. But it looks like a good thing to get for baby showers.
I haven’t read the book, but I wish I had it when I first started cd’ing back in 2009. It would have saved me the money and time it took to figure out what I was doing!
I haven’t read the book, but it is on my baby registry. I’ll be a first time mom when my baby is born in July. I’ve already caught the “cloth diaper bug” and can’t wait to learn more about it. I’ve heard rave reviews about this book!
I haven’t read thebook

i put this book on my baby registry! : ) can’t wait to read it!
I do have this book and it is currently with my sister-in-law as she learns about cloth diapers for her first born due in September! I was so psyched to be able to pass on such a great resource. If I win another copy of this book, I will pass it on to the next Mommy who wants to learn about CDering!!!
I haven’t read it myself, but I would love for my sisters to read it. All three of my sisters and I have had babies in the last year, and I am the only one who decided to cloth diaper. I would love for them to read about cloth diapering and see it really isn’t the old school flats and diaper pins that they are convinced I’m using.
I think the book is great! I have read it and is a great reference to have for other mommy’s who ask me about cloth diapering!
I havent read it yet and it would be a great help since we are new to cloth diapering and I could share it with friends who are considering cloth diapering.
I haven’t read this book, but I would love to read it. I also think it would be a great resource for friends who are wanting to use cloth. Can never know everything!
I’ve read it but then gave my copy to my grandson’s mom who probably never even cracked it open! LOL I would have loved something like this when I was first starting out. It is great for a refresher course or if you need to go back and look something up!
yes i have this book and it is super helpful i learned a lot about different types of diapers besides just pockets!
I haven’t read it yet but I have been wanting it so bad!! I would love to have it on hand when I have issues, so I know I have a place to turn to right away!
I have not read this book… but would love to win it and read it and then share it with all my friends!
I have not read it, but would like too. I can always use other ideas on washing CDs or ways to convince friends to try CDs
I haven’t read it but I would love to to be more prepared for our next baby.

I really want to read this book! I’ve been cloth diapering for about 4 months and while I think I have a lot of it figured out, I’m realizing that there is loads of conflicting advice out there about cloth diapering and it would be nice to read what a real expert has to say about it!

This is a great book. I love that it’s a coffee table type book – a great conversation starter about cloth. It’s easy to read and very informative. I’d love to have a copy to give my sister. I only have an e-copy right now.

I haven’t read it, but I’d love to have a copy. It would have been so much easier while I was pregnant and trying to explain how cloth diapers are “not your grandmother’s cloth diapers” over and over and over
I have not read the book but my daughter cloth diapers & my soon-to-be daughter inlaw plans to cloth diaper so this would be a treasure for her!
I’m always looking to learn more about cloth diapers so this book would be a great addition to my learning and library
