Mother’s Day #ClothDiaperHop Sponsor Spotlight: Bouncing Babies

Isn’t this going to be an absolutely fabulous Prize Package for one lucky Mama to win!?  Of course, a Dad could win too, but it IS a Mother’s Day Cloth Diaper Hop – so let’s give her the credit!  😉   Today may be the last Sponsor Spotlight, but that should only make you excited because the Event is only 2 days away!

I’ve enjoyed getting to know the ladies behind Bouncing Babies over the past couple of months.  They’ve worked with So Easy Being Green previously on a review of the fantastic bumGenius Freetime and this time around we’re going for a diaper that is aimed straight at Moreaya… a FuzziBunz Perfect Size Diaper! Like most Mama’s, when I began to research cloth diapers I thought One-Size diapers were the only and obvious choice for our family.  A diaper that will last from Birth – Potty Training sounded too good to be true, but it isn’t.  They do exist!

So, why do so many diaper companies, like FuzziBunz make sized diapers instead of sticking with the extremely popular OS versions?  Simple… for parents like me! I had the chance to try out a Medium FuzziBunz Perfect Size on Sophia last year and fell in love.  It was so easy to snap, it fit her perfect with no extra bulk, the insert seemed to be double the absorbency {it’s not, but I contribute the extra absorbency just to a better fit of the Perfect Size vs Elite}.  Now, I don’t have enough money to go out and buy a complete stash of all Sized Diapers, but you better believe I have quite a few that I’ve acquired along the way.fuzzibunz1-225x225

Even with Moreaya growing like crazy, she’s still fitting in the small FuzziBunz Perfect Size at about the mid-size.  So she’ll definitely have at least another 2 months or more in this diaper. The neat thing about FuzziBunz Perfect Size diapers is that FB actually states that most babies will only wear Size Small and Medium Perfect Size diapers before they potty train.  This is pretty true.  Moreaya did wear the XS when she was a Newborn, but could fit into a Small at about 10lbs.  The Mediums fit Sophia until she potty trained at about 23lbs!

The Small FuzziBunz comes with only 1 insert, but it’s all I need to get a good 3 hours out of the diaper on Moreaya.  Although I normally prefer aplix on her being so small, the FB only has 2 snaps on each side, so it’s really fast and easy to get a good fit!

Buy It:  FuzziBunz Perfect Size Diapers range in price, depending on the size.  XS starts at $13.95 and each size goes up in $1.00 increments.  You can buy FuzziBunz Perfect Size diapers on the Bouncing Babies website.

I’d love to hear your opinion about Sized vs. One Size Diapers!  What do you think about FuzziBunz Perfect Size Diapers?  Have you tried them?  If not, why?

  1. I love OS because they are usually more adjustable!! Plus I can know what to expect when buying them rather than just guessing a size.

  2. I only ever had one size diapers because I thought they were all I needed. Then I decided to try sized covers and diapers since we are near the weight limit of a lot of diapers. I don’t have a Fuzzibunz sized diaper.

  3. I just gave birth to our LO, and as she’s a premie, she’s not in cloth quite yet… However, a dear friend has given us about 8 Fuzzibunz, mostly OS, but a few sized mixed in (they are hand me downs, but hey! Free diapers!!). I’m excited to try them both! The sized diapers seem like they would be more comfortable for her, especially while she’s so small since they have less bulk. Also, I would think her clothes would fit better with the sized diapers. But we’ll see! It’s nice the OS work for such a long time.

  4. I don’t have any experience with either yet. I’m pregnant with my first. Would love to try both

  5. have not tried these as I didn’t hear about them until after I filled my stash. they seem like a great diaper and hope to one day try one 🙂

  6. I LOVE my FuzziBunz perfect size diapers! I have actually never tried the OS. There is an awkward inbetween stage with the perfect size fuzzibunz where they leak because you child is too small for the medium but too big for the small. So, I use another brand OS in the meantime. But I really do like my FuzziBunz perfect size diapers. They make up the majority of my stash.

  7. We used these in X-Small for a couple months when our little one was first born. Sized are nice, but the expense was too much to buy all sized diapers. We mostly use prefolds and one size diapers.

  8. i have tried the fb perfect size diapers and didn’t like them because the i dont feel the sizing chart is correct and couldn’t get a good fit on my baby. i prefer one size diapers because you can use them longer, but i do have a few sized diapers in other brands and like them alot

  9. I own mostly one-size diapers, and I especially love my Fuzzibunz. I have one medium sized Fuzzibunz and I’m not a huge fan- I like being able to adjust the leg and waist elastic. For some reason, the one-size diapers just seem to fit my daughter better, especially with this brand!

  10. I haven’t tried cloth diapers yet. My daughters are older (7 and 9) but we are trying for #3 and planning to cloth diaper. I prefer the idea of one-size, vs. sizes because it costs less over time. My plan is to start with gdiaper newborn size and then move onto one size diapers until potty training.

  11. Haven’t tried their perfect size, basically because I don’t have a big diaper budget. I do have their OS diaper though, and I love it. It is still fitting my son at 26 pounds. It didn’t fit until he was around 3 months though, so a perfect size small or XS would have been nice. It would also be nice to have a size large in case he takes a while longer to potty train.

  12. I mostly own OS diapers. I started out with all OS because I thought it would be the most cost effective. I recently was given 2 sized medium Swaddelbees , and I really like them. They are almost as trim as disposables. So now I am wanting more 🙂 I figure I can use them best worn with clothing such as jeans. I will likely buy a few of the FuzziBunz Perfect Size soon 🙂

  13. I have tried them. I love how trim they are, but I must say I am in love with my FB medium dipe. It seems to fit my DS better.

  14. i ahve not tried the perfect sized… i have some sized and like them but cant justify buying sized for all of them when the one sized work pretty well!

  15. I’m mixed. I like one-size, because they last longer (the boys can use them at different stages) but then the problem arises for newborns they are too big and for toddler they are often too small (not enough height to the diaper) and that’s why I like one-size diapers.

I’ve never tried a fuzzibunz. They seem out of my price range.

  16. I prefer sized diapers because they fit better, but the problem is that if I get sized diapers, I have to get two stashes instead of one…which can get really pricey. I’ve never tried this diaper because I only bought pre-owned diapers for my first daughter because we didn’t have the money for new diapers. This time around I might be able to get a few new ones!

  17. I haven’t tried the Fuzzibunz sized diapers. I like OS diapers because you save a lot of money. However, I’ve heard the sized diapers are much trimmer…which would be nice too!!

  18. i am a fan of OS diapers, most of the time but in the case of Fuzzibunz, i feel their OS diapers run on the small side. if my son gets any taller, he’ll be out of the OS soon, but still has plenty of room in his size large. he’s 30lbs, and 37 inches tall at 2.5 years old.

  19. I prefer one-size diapers just because I don’t have to buy more as my baby grows. I haven’t tried Fuzzibunz yet but my friend swears by them so I’m sure they’re great. I’ll have to win and see for myself 🙂

  20. I am a fan of sized. They seem trimmer on smaller babes, in my opinion. I like FB perfect size and have a few in my stash.

  21. I have never tried any sized diapers (only one size) but I really want to. From everything I hrear they seam to have a really nice fit.

  22. I tried a FB Sized diaper and really didn’t like it. It didn’t fit my LO very well. On the other hand, 90% of our 50 diaper stash are all FuzziBunz OS diapers, and we LOVE those! They have a great fit, and I can adjust them to accommodate my growing little guy!

  23. I have two Perfect Size Fuzzibunz and about 6 OS Elites. I love how trim the Elites are; however, they are an absolute pain to stuff b/c they are so narrow. I wish I had more Perfect Size diapers in our stash instead.

  24. We are using one size diapers. Our little lady was born very small so we had to wait almost a month before she could get in to them. She’s a growing (and getting chubby) baby so everyday the diapers are fitting better, however, there is quite a bit of bulk in some areas. Sized diapers, I feel, would diminish this problem (like you noticed with your little girl). Though, like you pointed out we can’t afford to buy sized either. Hopefully we will be able to acquire some and get some use out of them! I’m sure our Ellianna would love some trimmer days in her diapers!

  25. Haven’t tried these. When I started cloth diapering I went straight to the OS AI2s. They work great and I like them. But, I’ve been experimenting and I’m really interested now in the sized diapers. I just think you’d get a more custom fit with them and I would think it would be more comfortable for the baby as well. I really want to try these!

  26. I don’t have any sized diapers. We have one size fits all type because our stash is shared between two kids. Our infant is on the medium setting and our toddler is on the large in most of our diapers and covers.

  27. I am a HUGE fan of the Fuzzibunz Perfect Size Diapers! They have made up a majority of my stash since Isaac was a teeny thing! We just recently moved up to mediums and I have about 11 in my stash! They fit Isaac so well!

  28. will start using cloth in June, i bought a few fuzzibunz OS, i chose OS over sized because i wanted to be able to use the diaper through potty training and not have to by sized diapers everytime the baby grows out of them .

  29. I have an OS that I frequently use and love. I also have a sized small that is too small for my daughter at this point. When she fit into it, it was one of my favorites! There are benefits to both!

  30. I’m not into the idea of buying sized diapers. Too expensive.. Although, I do plan on getting a newborn stash of diapers because most OS diapers don’t fit them until they’re a few weeks old (the only bad thing about them)

  31. I have a FuzziBunz OS and it works with my one month old (9 lber). I haven’t tried the perfect size, but can’t imagine not liking it

  32. I have’t tried them yet because my first is due this July! I’m certainly interested in trying them, though!

  33. I haven’t tried fuzzibunz but I want to I have heard such wonderful things about fuzzibuns! I am new to cloth diapering and trying to expand my stash 🙂

  34. I have not tried these because my little one has not arrived yet! I am very interested in them because of the different sizing options–seems ideal for a tiny newborn who can’t fit in the one-size diapers.

  35. I have not tried the fuzzibuns diaper. However I would think that it would be more cost effective to get the one size diaper.

  36. I haven’t tried them because my baby is still on the way! However, I am dying to add some FBs to my growing NB stash, and I’m so glad to hear that you have had such a good experience with them!

  37. I have both the sized and OS and like them both equally. The sized options offer a really good fit for my daughter who’s on the small side. I’m glad they offer sized options so I can get some for my second due in July!

  38. I think the one size diapers are the better option for bigger babies, but that for a little baby you really need smaller sizes. We have 2 FuzziBunz Perfect Size diapers in our stash for our 11 week old and I really like them, especially during the day. They have a really trim fit so they fit really nicely under her clothes.

  39. I am all about one-size diapers, i like the fact that they can fit for such a long time and I do not have to worry about having the right size around at the right moment, just move a snap over and you’re ready to go

  40. I’m very new o CDs so I haven’t tried them yet but I know love one sized bc it’s better for our budget. I like that our babe can grow with them

  41. I have not tried the perfect size, but the majority of my stash is made up of Fuzzibunz One Size. I got a bundle of them to start out cloth diapering before my daughter was born. I love them, I wasn’t able to use them until she was about 3 months old but she just turned two and we are still able to use them, I think that has made them a huge money saver so we did not have to buy different sizes

  42. We have not started cloth diapering. We plan to from birth and the fuzzibunz sounds great!

  43. We used the XS FB on my grandson when he would come over here and I LOVED the way they fit him. He was way to small to fit in any OS so I was glad I had a small stash of NB diapers that I was able to use on him. I have several of the OS FB but haven’t had a chance to try them on him now that he’s bigger.

  44. i only have one sizes but i really want to try a perfect size to see how it fits different. i dont have the money to do a stash of every size but i wouldnt mind having a few!

  45. I have one FuzziBunz perfect size in medium and it still doesn’t fit my son who is 9 months old and 18 Lbs. I am a huge fan of one size diapers, we wouldn’t be able to afford a stash in every size.

  46. I like OS diapers the best because it’s the more economical way to go through cloth diapering. The only reason I haven’t tried these yet is because my little one isn’t here yet.

  47. Sized would be nice, but I CD for financial reasons too, so I only get one-size diapers. I tried a perfect size on my son when he was younger and had lots of leak issues, but haven’t tried them again since.

  48. I love the thought of sized diapers, but it seems like it’d make more financial sense to invest in one-size diapers. Seems like you’d get a better fit though!

  49. I love the idea that sized diapers give a trimmer fit, however; we don’t use them because of the price factor. The main reason we began to cloth diaper was to save $, so having to buy more diapers would cut into those savings. I think eventually once my son gets through his big growth stages we may invest in a few fitteds for nighttime use. I love fuzzibunz though, so i’m sure I’d love this diaper.

  50. I’m not sure if my cloth diapering daughter has tried these but they sound perfect and worth trying.

  51. I have not tried sized diapers yet. I am sure that they can give a great fit but i just don’t want to have to buy a set in each size. I would rather buy one set of OS diapers 🙂 I have purchased some perfect fit diapers in XS for baby #2 NB stage tho 🙂

  52. I am definitely a one size diaper person, but when it comes to FuzziBunz I actually like the Perfect Size better than the One Size. The medium fits my 20 pound, 7 month old son perfectly on the smallest waist setting. I would love to have another one!

  53. My 7 week old is wearing fuzzibunz XS and we love them. Great fit, and no extra bulk. I just prepped our 2 fuzzibunz OS, but we haven’t used them yet since I need to figure out how small to adjust the elastic. I have a bunch of size S ready to go when she gets a tiny bit bigger!

  54. I prefer their sized diaper over the OS. I think the OS is a hassle to adjust, but with the sized diaper, there’s no adjusting. Just put it on. 🙂
