#MayBuffet Sponsor Spotlight: Peter Rabbit Organics

pr2

Our next sponsor for the Keep Your Baby FULL & GREEN prize package for May Buffet will keep your baby... well, both FULL & GREEN!  Peter Rabbit Organics makes some of the green-est, most organic veggie and fruit pouches on the market. I love how they describe their products... "You won’t have to read the label – the fruit you see on the front is what’s inside!"  Isn't this what we all want to see in our food products?  No hidden preservatives, chemicals, etc.  This is especially important when we're feeding our babies and toddlers! Our fruit and veg puree pouches are all organic, contain 100% fruit and veg, and never have added sugar or anything artificial.  If you do read the label you’ll see your snacks are high in vitamin C, have between 70 and 85 calories, 0 fat (of course – it’s fruit!) and 1.5-2 grams of … [Read more...]

I've enjoyed getting to know the ladies behind Bouncing Babies over the past couple of months.  They've worked with So Easy Being Green previously on a review of the fantastic bumGenius Freetime and this time around we're going for a diaper that is aimed straight at Moreaya... a FuzziBunz Perfect Size Diaper! Like most Mama's, when I began to research cloth diapers I thought One-Size diapers were the only and obvious choice for our family.  A diaper that will … [Read more...]

Choosing Green Options with Earth’s Best Disposable Diapers

Although I use cloth diapers on both girls 99% of the time, it's nice to know that there are green options even when choosing disposable diapers. Some people choose not to use cloth, which is totally fine, but I would still urge you to find safer, green-er options for your baby!  This is especially true for babies that have sensitive skin. Earth's Best Chlorine Free Disposable Diapers are available in seven sizes and made with renewable resources and fewer petro-chemicals to reduce your baby's environmental footprint. Made from non-chlorine bleached materials Contains natural absorbant material such as corn and wheat Made with fewer petro-chemicals Breathable sides Moisture barrier cuff Refastenable tabs Latex-free, dye-free, perfume-free I was sent a pack of Earth's Best Disposable Diapers in my last box of … [Read more...]

If you like one size pocket cloth diapers and you like to try different brands that aren't so mainstream AND you like to save money... well, today's cloth diaper review is for you!  GoGo Natural sent me a Dinkledooz Pocket Diaper to review on Moreaya and is offering up one in the Mother's Day Cloth Diaper Giveaway here at SEBG! This isn't my first go-around with a Dinkledooz.  I reviewed a lovely orange one on Sophia back in September.  My opinions on this diaper haven't changed one bit since then.  It's still an amazing pocket diaper, especially for the price!  So, let's see how the Dinkledooz works on a 3.5 month old! Meredith, from GoGo Natural, was sweet enough to send us the diaper in it's newest color... Chocolate!  I love the color combo of the brown with red snaps, it … [Read more...]

Bedtime Routines with Earth’s Best Sleepytime Lotion {giveaway!}

sleepytimelotion

I always had a hard time setting a good nightly routine for Sophia when she was younger.  Once she started sleeping in her "big girl bed" a few months ago, I knew it would be crucial to follow a nightly routine. Here's how ours goes: Pick out PJ's - She absolutely loves picking out her own pajamas and her favorite thing to wear to bed is my old, vintage t-shirts from when I was about 6.  They fit her like nightgowns and she thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Brush Teeth - She used to love brushing her teeth, but apparently the fun-ness of the activity wore off and it's a chore for this active toddler now. Lotion up! - More on that in a bit... Pick out Stories - We fluctuate.  Right now she's in her "Mommy picks the books" mood where for a few weeks now, I get to choose all 3 stories that we read that night. Turn out the light … [Read more...]

Mother’s Day #ClothDiaperHop Sponsor Spotlight: Changing Diapers by Kelly Wels

When I began to think about using cloth diapers on Sophia, before she was even born, I set to the internet to research.  I was a bit overwhelmed with just how much information is out there on the topic of modern cloth diapers.  Of course, it's always a good problem to have a lot of information, but it can also be very daunting. It would have been so nice to have a book, written by a leading expert in the cloth diaper field, full of information on cloth diapers from the different types of cloth diapers to how to wash them.  Well, lucky for new cloth diaper users... there is!  Changing Diapers by Kelly Wels is a fantastically written book that gets down to the nitty gritty and dirty details of modern cloth diapering - and let's you know that using cloth diapers is in fact, not dirty at all! Kelly Wels is a leading cloth diaper … [Read more...]

Mother’s Day #ClothDiaperHop Sponsor Spotlight: Glow Bug Cloth Diapers

Glow Bug Cloth Diapers

There's nothing better than finding a fabulous cloth diaper that fits a huge range of babies, absorbs really well with no leaks, comes in some of the cutest prints and patterns you've ever seen, and is extremely affordable!  This is exactly what you get with Glow Bug Cloth Diapers! I reviewed Glow Bug Cloth Diapers on Sophia when they were pretty new to the market.  At the time, Sophia was about 1 1/2 and was on the next to largest setting at the time.  I was excited to see how these diapers fit on a pretty small baby like Moreaya... although she's beginning to develop quite the chunky little legs!  In my last review, I stated that I felt these diapers would fit on larger toddlers - they're advertised to fit 7-35lbs. I am very happy to say that we get a great fit on Moreaya at about 13lbs.  … [Read more...]

I’ve got a new favorite Baby… Carrier! {giveaway!}

I am in LOVE with this new print: Jewel!

Yep, it's true!  I couldn't fathom that I would love another carrier as much as I had fallen in love with the ones I've used in the past, but I have.  And it's all thanks to Beco! Oh yeah, those cute little sucking pads with taggies?  Those are from Red Charlotte! Since I received my new Gemini Baby Carrier from Beco, well, Moreaya has been in it probably once every 2-3 days at least.  I am so happy that she loves to be carried because it makes my life so much easier!  When I got my first soft structured carrier, Sophia was already walking and had already gained enough independence to not like being carried as much.  I carried Moreaya as an infant in a wrap and now I'm carrying her everywhere in our Beco! Where do you use your Baby Carrier?  So far, Moreaya's been on me in the grocery store {sooo much easier and safer than … [Read more...]
